“Just OK”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 19, 2013

After reading such great reviews and having some difficulty in getting a reservation that was convenient for us, my wife and I finally had dinner here. We arrived 5 min. before our res. and waited for about 15 min. for our table which wasn't a problem for us. We were seated in a long row of tables each set up for two people. The tables were small and much too close together to have a conversation. We felt like we were involved in the conversations with the people on either side of us. Service here was outstanding, our waitress was both knowledgeable and efficient. She suggested a wine that we ordered and it was very good. Our calamari app (which we have ordered at dozens of other restaurants) wasn't memorable. The rings were served dressed with a sauce that tasted like a very sweet barbecue sauce, original but not to our liking. Both our meals were good, not great. Portions were OK. Our desert was very good. All in all, our expections going in were high and were really not met. We thought that for the prices charged, both the level of food and atmosphere really didn't measure up.

“Great Dinner!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 16, 2013

rom out of town, could not believe the quality of food and service. Out of this world! You must try the fried brussel sprouts, we were apprehensive but the waiter insisted on them. They were not greasy as I feared but delicate and just a wonderful beginning to a fabulous meal. The highlight of entries was a Cod dish that was the best fish anyone at the table had eaten in a long time. The desert of fried bread pudding is also very delicate and a wonderful finish to an expertly prepared meal. We will have reservations at Lattitude every time we come back to Springfield.

“Outstanding appetizers”

We had a very nice dining experience on a cold Wednesday winter night. We were seated on time by the fireplace and for starters I would highly recommend the pan seared crispy calamari, the Cape Cod clams and mussels with bacon and onions, and fried Brussel sprouts (even if you have always hated them). Easy to share among 4 people. Entrees of Tomahawk veal chop and pan seared sea scallops were satisfactory but not as special as the apps. I would definitely return again and expand the apps.

“I left hungry and wondering...”

This was my first visit back since the major expansion. Gotta say that bigger is not always better! We arrived about 5:45 and were told we'd have to eat at the bar as they were booked. Good for them and shame on me for not making reservations. We like to sit at the bar sometimes so no big deal. I had some gumbo, that was just average. I ordered scallops over risotto. There were only six scallops that were cooked properly, but over peppered. Here comes the good part there was maybe a cup of risotto and was covered with French's fried onion rings that were soggy. All for a mere $24.00! Then I realized we never received any bread so I inquired why no show on the bread. The bartender told me oh, you have to ask for it. Really! I won't ask for bread because it will be awhile before we return.

“Disappointed”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 11, 2013 via mobile

Just finished dinner celerbration for a friends 5oth birthday celerbration . Let me first say this is one of our favorite restaurants but not tonight . Our dinners were serverd Luke warm, two of them had to be sent back the were so cold. The standard Brussels app. were all broken up, very few were intact. Dessert didn't get much better. Double chocolate cake was cold like left in the back of the refrig. The choc. Chip cookie Sunday could have been something ordered off a kids menu. The cookie cold, cut in half and stuck into the side of the scoop if ice cream with a little chocalate sauce over the top. What happen to a warm cookie with ice cream melting over it with fudge and cream topping it off. If your gonna serve dessert at least take pride in it.

I hope tonight's experience isn't the beginning if a good Resturant going down hill.
