Bring loads of cash. Rides were 55 tickets for $60, and 2-4 tickets per person per ride. The Big Slide is still a blast for $2.

“BIG E”

always a nice place to go to bring your children, too high priced but nowadays that is nothing new, its almost a must to check this out every year..at least the kids sake. If you dont like rides go for the food, they have everything including bacon ice cream and fried butter.

A great place to visit and learn, and eat and have a wonderful time in New England. The exhibits at the Fair were professional, diverse, and educational. Visit the State Buildings and learn about each of the wonderful states and what they have to offer travelers. Don't forget the food!

“Best Agricultural Fair in Southern New England!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 12, 2012

The best part of the Big E is the food, the food, the food! I am not a fan of the poor circus animals that have to walk around in circles with various people on their backs day in and day out - i just pray that they are well taken care of at the farm in Goshen where they come from. So I try to avoid walking by the circus animals, but the States buildings are where the best food is! Definitely have to get the Maine potato (long line, but moves quickly), the Flatbread pizza in Vermont, and the lobster roll in Massachusetts (I know, weird to have in MA, but worth it!) The shopping in the states buildings is really good too, and you can generally count on local hand made products. Craft Commons has interesting shopping options too, The Last Cow has great belts - my husband swears by the quality fo their product. My other favorite is the Kettle Korn at the Craft Common - sweet and salty, goes perfect with the craft beer in the tent right next door! Definiteily recommend going every year - lots of fun for all ages!

“Something for Everyone”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 12, 2012

The Big E is a New England tradition, even if much is the same each year there is always new exhibits and the same food, some great, some not so great but you just have to try things like the crazy burger! No matter what your interest this is a yearly must see.
