“Delicious and different”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 19, 2013

I love this restaraunt. The meals are all unique and delicious with authentic South American touches light fried yucca (incredibly good) and plantain. The atmosphere is very relaxed but also very comfortable and well decorated. It is conveniently located near an excellent theater (Arsenal Center for the Arts/New Repertory Theater) and nearby shopping. The prices are moderate but well worth it. Great place for casual dining.

“Fun, good food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 23, 2013

The food was spicy, tasty and pleantiful - go hungry. We started with some nice hot bread and both had the salmon - plate overflowed with rice, yam, sweet potato around the salmon. Not too noisy. Nearby free garage parking. Prices were reasonable. Will go again.

“Very Inconsistent”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 20, 2013

Four of us ate there recently and our meals ranged from outstanding to just barely passable. The best was the Pierna de Baby (Pork osso buco). That was delicious and beautifully presented. The worst was the Bacalao a la Ozzy Guillen (Cod). The Cod was fine but everything else on the plate was cold. Even after sending it back for a 30 second shot in the microwave it was not warm, and the fish piece was replaced with a noticeably smaller portion. I take that as punishment of the customer for the complaint. Overall this was very disappointing.

“A wonderful time, food and atmosphere”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 5, 2013

A wonderful, high-ceiling space that still is able to minimize the noise level (until the Friday night band begins to play!). A bit hard to find inside the Arsenal complex on Mt. Auburn Street (call first for best driving instructions; don't depend on your GPS to get you there!).

We ordered the 1/2 chicken and short ribs and they were each cooked and seasoned to perfection. The service was superb from the check-in (reservations are suggested) to the wait staff to the supporting helpers. All friendly, efficient and personable. Try the mushroom appetizer, cooked with onions, for a different and wonderful foodie experience. Prices are very reasonable and the crowd is wonderfully diverse. This is a gem of a place that, in god weather, also offers outdoors seating. Five stars from beginning to end.

“Great food-great service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 3, 2013

We attend the Theater at the Arsenal and have noted what appeared to be another Mexican restaurant, so we dishy to try it (nothing wrong with that but we are always a little more adventurous). But further investigation revealed it to be a Venezuelan restaurant with a great menu. We were not disappointed when we tried dinger before a play one Saturday evening. The ambiance is great, the service (George) was super and the food was delicious. The chef was also responsive to one of our dietary needs. The play was flat so we left between acts and came back for a drink and encountered a live salsa band. Will be back
