“Great to have cinema in Waltham”
Reviewed July 17, 2013

So good to have a cinema in downtown Waltham within walking distance of many eateries. There is a huge parking lot which is free after 6 PM. This moviehouse offers popular and independent films so there is something for everyone. Less variety in the refreshments than some of the big chains and the restroom is a haul on the 2nd floor but there is an elevator for the handicapped.

“Not your average cineplex”
Reviewed July 2, 2013

The Embassy specializes in first-run films, some traditional but also independent, foreign, and lesser known titles. There are 6 screens. Each theater is very comfortable. This is the sister cinema to the Kendall in Cambridge. Most films start at the Kendall then come to Waltham a week or two later.

“Great little treasure!”

After coming to this movie theater, I found it being very convenient. Plus having $6 Tuesdays....Ahhh the life. But a little expensive on the food.

“Small. Convenient.”
Reviewed May 15, 2013 via mobile

I really like smaller movie theaters and the Embassy fits the bill. It started as more of an art house theater with current indies and films you wouldn't see else where. Unfortunately this was not sustainable and they now show mostly first run Hollywood movies. (Get it--films vs movies). At least their sister theater in Kendell Square still shows the indies. Still I love the size if the theaters. Parking is good. Lots of food choices on Moody Street.
