Nice structure with large lobby bar and rich breakfast, the restaurant also offers good choice at a reasonable price. The food in the bar is handy and decent.
The price is quite high but the rooms are large, comfortable and well accessorized, like a small 2 rooms apartment.
The air conditioning was far too strong with great energy waste : this place is NOT eco-friendly.
Very good car parking and access but no public transportation.

Green Features: The air conditioning was far too strong with great energy waste : this place is NOT eco-friendly. The towel were changed even if I didn't want to

Staff had an attitude when checking us in. On our last day, housekeeping started knocking at our door at 8:30am and repeatedly did so till we checked out. We did not feel welcomed; worst experience at a Hilton Hotel

Has been going to this hotel for seven years, since it was Double Tree. It was great and had the best staff ever, they even greeted us by name. We go often because our three grandaughters live close by and they stay in the hotel with us. Suddenly all the staff we knew from years are gone, from management, the front desk, restaurant & housekeeping!! What is going on? Our last visit on 8/24/13 was bad, I actually had to sleep on the floor! But worst has been Hilton Customer Service. Left a message for the manager, never heard from him. Sent an e-mail, got an automated response. Called customer service twice, both times they promised to get back to me. Nothing!

Room Tip: Most are the same, suites.

Thank you for taking the time to let us know of your experience at our hotel. I am quite sorry to hear that it was not a good one, particularly since you truly know us and stay with us often. While we have had a couple recent changes to front desk team, I am happy to share that our core team has not changed. The same great associates that have proudly served our guests for years are still very much engaged in our effort to exceed the expectations of our guests. In this instance, however, it appears we certainly did not. for that , we are all very sorry. We understand the importance of consistency and dependability and we feel terrible we let you down. When your travels bring you back to Boston to visit your granddaughters, we would love the opportunity to welcome you back to our hotel in an effort to regain your trust.

Warm Regards,

We booked a block of rooms for our wedding and were told that we'd have a courtesy shuttle. When I called to confirm I was told that the courtesy shuttle was just a van they have and it was first come first serve. This was on labor day weekend, and the entire hotel was packed with college kids, but I was able to get the driver to be available to our guests for transport from the hotel to the wedding (which took time on an incredibly busy morning). The trip back was another story. They weren't ready and only did one trip to drive people back to the hotel. It was a disaster. One of the guests had his reservation screwed up as well; it was booked for the wrong night. I booked, and confirmed the reservation along with two others that worked out fine; I'm not sure why his got messed up. Because of this he was unable to stay at the hotel. Overall not a bad stay, but these guys cannot be trusted for important group events.

Patrick,

Thank you for sharing feedback of your experience at the Embassy Suites Boston/Waltham. We very much enjoyed your wedding party at our hotel as it brought a sense of family and warmth to a busy weekend. I am very sorry we let you down with our courtesy shuttle. In an effort to please many guests with this service, it seems we dropped the ball with you and your group. For that, we are very sorry.

We hope you give us another try the next time your travels bring you to Boston so that we might have the opportunity to provide you with the level of service we expect and you deserve.

Warm Regards,

EmbassySuitesWAGM

Very average experience. The thermostat in my room did not work well, even after I reported it. I was working long hours and ate in the hotel each night. Menu has potential, but the food is just OK. The snacks set out for happy hour were stale and the bar staff was not attentive. The rooms were clean and furniture was in good shape, although the rest oh the hotel is a bit dated.

Shelly,

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with feedback on your recent stay with us. We view feedback as a gift and appreciate the opportunity to understand, learn and grow from our guests' experiences. I am very sorry the thermostat didn't work well even after you reported it. This lack of follow up is unacceptable. Regarding our menu items, I am happy to inform you that we are in the process of rolling out our new menu with many enhancements, suited for a variety of tastes.

I hope your travels bring you back to our hotel soon so that we may have the opportunity to provide you with the level of service and food we expect and you deserve.

Warm regards,

We stayed here for three nights with a baby. I had heard of this hotel for years as a student at Brandeis University, but I had never stayed here. I think it used to be a Double Tree. It is conveniently located a block from the Route 95 exit, but it is not directly on the highway. Some construction was being done on the porte cochere, so the driveway by the front door was closed off. The hotel is very clean and has a light, modern style. Front desk staff and complimentary breakfast staff were very friendly. One morning, there were two busboys in the breakfast room and a hostess. The room had a high turnover and was very clean. It never felt too crowded. It was one of the better free breakfasts I've had, with several items made to order. My only disappointment was the quality of the coffee. I didn't like it at all. Our room was off the mezzanine level. Luckily for us, there were no events on this level, but if there were, I can see it being busy and noisy for guests whose rooms surround this event/bar space. Our suite was large, but the kitchen nook felt a bit too small. There was a refrigerator (no freezer), sink, microwave, and coffeemaker. Bedroom, bathroom, and living room were clean and nicely furnished. Crabtree & Evelyn toiletries were a great touch! Because all rooms open onto the mezzanine or the atrium the height of the entire hotel, there are windows with curtains in each room that open onto the corridors. I don't know why anyone would ever open their curtains while inside the room, but there were curtains nonetheless. The hotel advertised a free cocktail hour, which was a bonus before heading out to dinner. It consisted of punch, crackers, chips, etc. The bar was also available for people who wanted real drinks. We used the pool, which you have to enter on one level and walk downstairs to another level. There is also a fitness room. The pool was large and clean. There was a hot tub. Towels were provided. Our baby did well in the quiet and darkness of the living room. We were given a crib, but it didn't look amazing for our toddler. We asked for a pack-and-play, which the attendant had some trouble setting up. He found another and brought it to our room, and it was set-up in no time. The nice thing about the mezzanine level was that our baby could run around directly outside our door, unlike the higher floors where there is not a lot of room outside the doors due to the corridor overlooking the atrium.

Room Tip: High floor overlooking highway gets nice view. Mezz level could be noisy.
