We visited Little House for lunch and thought it was a great choice. At 12 noon - 1 PM in season, it is really full inside, and orders are a bit slow. But most patrons are aware of that. There is additional seating on the picnic tables out front, which can be very nice to sit at. We arrived at 1:20 PM, and the place was packed. There was a two top, and we sat there and commented on the relaxed atmosphere / business of the environment. It wasn't long before we had drinks and our orders were taken. We chose a Turkey sandwich, and Curry Lentil soup with roll -- both were very well done. The soup was flavorful, and quite a treat. I had never had curry with lentil soup, and it was something that I would definitely look for again. The roll was very good with the slab of butter provided. The Turkey sandwich was excellent. Great bread, dressing, turkey and cheese - hard to describe how really good it was.

We waited as the establishment cleared out from the lunch crowd, and our meal came out, a bit slowly, but it was well worth it.

We love breakfast here, have now expanded into lunch, and will soon try dinner.....definitely a must stop location while on the island!

We stopped here for lunch at one of my favorite sandwich and salad restaurants on the island. Of course they also serve breakfast and dinner but I've always found it to be a great location for sandwiches salads. You'll like it too, especially the pressed vegetable sandwich with fresh mozzarella, olive tapenade and the chicken Schwarma

On Martha's Vineyard it's hard to avoid pricey restaurants looking for tourists' business. Little House Cafe, run by a young local couple, is indeed "little" and it is not overpriced (by MV standards). It is also open year round, unlike many other places. Recently I had an excellent meal here with friends--two of us had steak skewers, one had fish tacos (which I had had on previous visits). Eat where the locals go when they want a nice meal "out." They also do takeout, but I haven't tried that.

The Indonesian Gado Gado Salad was amazing, yet the tuna nicoise salad was a dud (FYI, Little House, that involves a seared tuna steak sliced over the salad, NOT chunks of tuna fish from a can dumped on it!). The falafel sandwich was also good, but they had no hummus or tahini to go with it, very strange. Very nice people, did a good job of helping us avoid food allergy issues, it just needs a little honing in to be better.

This cafe has very good food (leaning towards middle eastern and mediterranean flavors, but have something for everyone. Loved the falafel sandwich, baked goods and salads are great. Very fresh ingredients. Nice spot for a low key meal when you get tired of all the fancy, high priced Vineyard restaurants.
