“Great food but pricey!”
Reviewed March 20, 2012

The food here as well as the atmosphere is lovely but it is way over most people's budgets including mine.

“Loved It!!.”
Reviewed February 9, 2012

Wonderful dining experience, from the introduction of warm seasoned olives and crusty bread to our entree. The atmosphere very inviting and relaxing, service exceptional. A gem in a small town that compares to city dining, but we didn't have to travel the distance.
I would highly recommend the experience.

“Excellent Dinner with Friends”
Reviewed December 15, 2011

We had dinner at di Paolo to celebrate our recent trip to Italy. The food was very well prepared. The Linguini con Gamberetti, Barramundi (special) and Ravioli con Zucca (special) were all very tasty and well presented. The service was prompt and friendly without being intrusive. The atmosphere is unostentatiously elegant--the perfect place for conversation. The wine list is varied and extensive. It is clearly the best Italian food in the valley.

“A Gem! One of the finest Italian restaurants in the area!”
Reviewed November 6, 2011

A gem! One of the finest Italian restaurants in the area, the Turners Falls location is only a 20 minute drive from Amherst and not much farther for people driving south from Brattleboro. For starters we had the Antipasto della Casa, which was beautifully prepared. Even though its ingredients were the expected Italian meats, cheeses and pickled vegetables, the quality of the ingredients and the presentation made it truly superior than most I have been served elsewhere. The other appetizers we sampled were the Caribbean Dueto , which featured grilled scallops and shrimp seasoned with a Caribbean spice rub, and the Caesar salad. Both were expertly prepared. For entrées we had the Cioppino, a Mediterranean seafood stew with a rich spicy saffron sauce, and the Pollo Picatta, a boneless chicken breast. Both were delicious and are highly recommended. Portions are ample and we were so full that we did not have room for desert. The restaurant is small and tastefully decorated, giving it an intimate atmosphere. Summer features outdoor dining, expanding their capacity. We ate on a Saturday night and the restaurant was full, so service was on the slower side, but was in keeping with the careful preparation of each dish. Their fine food should not be rushed either in its preparation or in its enjoyment. Cost was roughly $60 per person with wine.

“Unexpectedly fine restaurant”
Reviewed September 18, 2011

Lovely quite fine Italian restaurant. Dark lighting, white tablecloths and very goood food and service. I've been there twice and have had very good experiences. I recommend this as one of the best in the area and worth the 10 minute detour off Rte 91 to get there. Expect to have a relaxing meal lasting 1.75 - 2 hours.
I could make a meal of the appetizers which were excellent. The chef does mushrooms really well and I recommend anything with mushrooms. Creamed pasta entres tended to be heavy, but flavorful. Veal and chicken dishes were standard but well prepared. My only negative is really that since everything is a la carte, it is a little more expensive then similar restaurants in the Northampton area... but a very enjoyable restaurant and somewhat more romantic then most Italian restaurants.
(No Pizza and not recommended for children)
