Make reservations or plan to sit at the bar early as this place is popular. Our first of two visits was far more memorable with the delightfully light fried oysters and sinfully rich tuna bolognese. Sancere, strawberry/basil and cucumber martini's were good, but the dirty martini was not close. 2nd trip was a let down, but we didn't follow the recommendations so that is what we'll do next time round. May take a road trip just for the tuna Bolognese with lemon confit and buttery mascarpone making this spicy dish truly amazing. Nice space and attentive friendly service.

We went with friends to Blackfish last night for a casual get together. It was a great choice as we have been before and have been very happy with the consistent, top quality and well prepared food. Believe it or not their burger brings the locals back. It is really tasty and has gourmet toppings to choose from. I love the seared foie gras appetizer and the steak salad. It is seasoned well and pretty. My friend had the Colorado chop special and said it was excellent. We have had deserts in the past and they are comforting and homemade. The decor is dark as it was a blacksmith shop at one time. We call it the grotto. it is always packed in the summer. The wonderful staff and the yummy food is what keeps us coming back. Seek it out in Truro. You won't be disappointed.

Charming and romantic interior. Solid wait staff. Nice wine list. Cold River Vodka from Maine for cocktails - yum! Appetizers: Oysters on the half-shell for him and Seasonal Mushrooms on Toast-Points for me. Both sublime. Entrees: Panko Crusted Sole and Bone-in Ribeye. Again, excellent. Panko Crusted Sole was accompanied by a delicious cauliflower mash and fresh asparagus and a lemon buerre blanc. Off the beaten path, so a destination, for sure. Definitely make a reservation.

A great restaurant off the beaten path. It is on the small side, so reservations are a must during the summer season. Friendly staff, especially the bartender from Tampa. Was tired of seafood, so went with the lamb special. One of the best lamb dishes that I ever had. A must visit.

We're long time outer Cape people and have eaten almost everywhere. Somehow we've missed Blackfish over the years. No more. This is a truly solid restaurant. Great menu - we could happily have chosen a variety if different meals. What we dud choose was excellent. Very good frisée salad; excellent steamers; good but not to die for pork belly. For entrees, the tuna bolognese was killer and the seafood stew was no far behind. All in all - good food at a reasonable price for the high quality.
