Anthony's Hawthorne by the Sea is a throwback to another era. The waiters run around in an empty dining room, in formal dirty stained attire while they serve overpriced (VERY overpriced) bad quality food. I paid $22 for 4 baked stuffed shrimp. The shrimp were dreadfully over-cooked, the stuffing beyond salty. Just horrible. A bowl of very average clam chowder? $6.95. Yikes! The salad was wilted and tasteless. I am amazed this place stays in business.
I remember when this restaurant was the elegant place for a very special, quality meal so this experience was very sad for me. Honestly, don't waste your time or money.
