The place is kind of A buffet style BBQ joint, so that sets the stage. I've eaten here three times in the past, and finally decided to write a review. The third time, my boy wanted to check it out, because his friends talk about it. I finally gave in, in forming him that he would see what daddy means by bad BBQ, when he ate his food. He has had some of the best. After our meal, he new it too. The actual BBQ tastes elementary. It is hands down, the most inept attempt at BBQ that I have experienced in my years. I do not know if they actually smoke anything BBQ style, and the sauce tastes like something bought off a cheap store shelf. In my opinion, you don't to make the sauce the focal point of the food you're putting it on. You have score on cooking the meat, and the sauce is just an accent........it should not over power the meat....if it does, there's a problem on either the age of the meet, cooking of the meat, or how long it's been frozen. I honestly believe it gets higher ratings because it's an old valley restaurant with a nice outside setup. If it were possible to give a circle rating, I would. If you want to taste some BBQ, head up the street about a mile and try the whole in the wall BBQ joint called RJ's Grub. I'd say Holy Smoke's in Turners Falls, but the just closed down.
