Have gone to the Wayside Inn for many years and was looking forward to lunch. I agree with other reviewers that the quality of the food has slipped, Had lunch there recently and I was disappointed. The bread basket held two small muffins and a roll. They were served cold and had that day old quality to them. Ordered the Scallops served in a rather bland creme sauce that was advertised to have spinach and mushrooms. Couldn't find either. The squash was ok and the baked potato rather small. Was looking forward to the Indian pudding for dessert which was a signature item. Barely warm with a crust that attached itself to the bowl. Very little favor. I did expect more value for a $18.95 lunch.
Service was attentive and friendly.More
