“Quaint and Tasty”
Reviewed May 7, 2014

We ate in the Tavern and had a wonderful meal. At the recommendation of someone who had previously eaten here, two of us got the turkey dinner. WOW, moist, moist turkey with real mashed potatoes, homemade gravy (you know the kind where you are swiping your finger around the gravy boat to get every last mouthful), butternut squash and a homemade cranberry sauce that is killer. Another person in our party got the chicken pot pie which had a nice flakey crust, lots of chicken and vegetables and a great taste. The 4th member of our party had the butternut ravioli which she said were delicious in a rich cream sauce. A basket of homemade breads and rolls were too good not to eat. Service was helpful and never intrusive.

“Reunion Weekend”
Reviewed May 2, 2014

The Pineapple Room worked out perfectly for our party of 18. Our starter of Squash Soup could have been hotter when served, but this was the only negative. All "preordered" entrees were satisfactory and the dessert of Apple Crisp was very good.

“disappointment”
Reviewed April 23, 2014

This restaurant has a feel of the Sturbridge Village era. I was disappointed in the food. A simple order of fish and chips was disappointing. The fish was overcooked. The fries were nothing special. The bread basket was exceptional with a nice variety. the desserts were great. Service was average as we had to seek the waitress out to get refills. We were done some time before she came by to ask about dessert. Not sure I would spend the money and return.

“Great Value when you use coupon”
Reviewed March 25, 2014

We used the coupon in the paper for a BIGIF lunch or dinner on Monday-Wednesday. The coupon has been featured often (A friend I know goes once a month to use the coupons and has been doing this for months) My friend and I on this dining occasion both had the salmon with dill sauce, rice and vegetable--$20
The salmon piece was quite large and delicious. Also, when you order a tea, you can have another cup or two without an additional charge. I am a tea drinker and some other restaurants in the Worcester area charge for more than one cup. The atmosphere is lovely.
Our waitress, Shirley, was a delight and very professional. You park in the back and have to walk through the bakery to go to either the tavern or the dining room. Both have the same menus. Of course, we could not resist the bakery on the way out and bought a treat for later. We will return soon.
