Very interesteing setting in central mass. Althought it is not what it use to be in the 80's it still is a great interpretive center and village reconstructed to what life was in the 1880's. If you into this kind of thing its a must see. Spend a 1/2 day or go with the family . Its in a small area in sturbridge Mass and a very unique part of New England. Great also for fall foliage and stroll in the old common and check out the buildings and learn history.

Old Sturbridge Village will take you back to the mid 1800's to visit everyday life the way it was. Wonderfully maintained, and visitor friendly staff make it the perfect family treat. It takes a good day to see it all, 2 days would be better. Exhibits and demonstrations change often but the standbys are always there to entertain like the blacksmith, the potter or the tinsmith. My favorite is the Freeman farm with a great group of animals on hand, the men working about the farm and the women tending to the garden or household duties. The village surroundings and staff are wonderful for photographing. Just pure enjoyment for all ages.

A great day to spend with your family. Love to take a picnic lunch or eat at one of the dining areas. You and your family will be transported back into to time. A lot of interactive things to do with children. The Spring is one of the best times to go with the birthing of animals. I lived in Sturbridge and admission is free to all residences it was part of my children's childhood. Great memories.

Enjoyed the whole visit, food at the Inn and the Stage Coach ride was neat. The whole village was so interesting, people there were very informative of the time in history. Real learning experience. Loved it, would visit again and bring other family members. Would recommend to others.
