My wife, her aunt and I ate there on a Friday evening. The restaurant was not crowded, but we were placed at a table in the Tuscany Room, a "large party" room with many tables pushed together to hold larger groups. The waitress was friendly and took our drink and dinner orders quickly. However, while we were waiting for the dinners to arrive a party of 17 showed up and took over the center of the room. Understandably, they added a great deal to the noise level. It would have been helpful if the person seating us had told us a large group was coming; we would have asked to be placed a quieter location.
The waitress was at our table often, checking on us and getting us anything we needed. While the service for dinner was excellent, the same could not be said of the food itself. I had the Chicken Parm, which was OK, but the sauce was very sweet and the pasta a smidgen watery. My wife had the Chicken Pomadoro, which seemed to have bottled garlic, pink (not red) tomatoes, and which she labled as "tasteless". Her aunt had the Cod, which she also said had no taste.
I've seen reviews on here raving about the bread. No raves from us on that item. It was just bread. OK, but not anything to write home about.
The prices are certainly reasonable and the portions huge. However, I've eaten in a large number of diners and the food here is what I'd call "average diner food". If you don't want to cook and are just looking for a place to eat out, you can head here and have leftovers for the next day.
