Wonderful grounds loaded with plants and flowers. Knowledgeable and helpful staff. Cute gift shop. Nice stroll, and everything is well marked.

Such a peaceful and lovely respite from the hubub and flow of goings on during the height of the tourist season. It's well organized, with helpful tags at all the plants, and they have a very eclectic collection of plants to admire. Take the time away from the beaten path.

Straddling Rt. 102 in Stockbridge, the Berkshire Botanical Gardens are well worth a visit for anyone the least bit interested in gardening.

This is pretty small as far as botanical gardens go. Not quite worth the admission price. One nice thing is that every flower is labeled, so if you like something and want to have it for your garden you can take note of the name. Several days a week they have a 1 hour tour that is free with admission. Our tour guide talked mostly about the place itself (the history, how it came about, the land, etc) and not about the flowers and plants. She admittedly didn't know the names of the flowers, so it was good that they were each labeled.

If you're in the area and it's a nice day for walking around, this could be a nice place to visit. If you're looking to expand your own garden and want to see plants in full bloom and how they look mingled with other plants, this could be a nice place to visit. I don't know if they ever offer coupons or discounted admission, but it would be worth looking into. Overall, we had a good time, but we weren't overly impressed.
