We had a wonderful 2 night stay at the 1862 seasons. We were drawn by the 5 star ratings and they hold true! I have never slept on a more comfortable bed! It was first rate. Other highlights, the service, breakfast, bathrobes, fireplaces, coffer/tea/cold drinks available on both floors, entertainment room, chocolates left on bed each night, to mention a few.

We just love the creative titles so many folks have come up with in their descriptions of their stay with us and yours is no exception ! "Luxiously Cosy" fits who we truly are. A great night's sleep is the basis of each of our needs and adding special amenities to that has been our constant theme. Thanks so much for the wonderful review .

From the moment that we arrived until the moment that we (sadly) had to leave everything was perfect! Our innkeeper was most attentive to every detail. His interest in our total comfort was apparent in a warm and cordial way. The two assistants , Constantine and Paul were also excellent hosts. We plan to be back, soon. Chuck & Diane ,Wells Maine

P.S. To add to the atmosphere we enjoyed snow on both days that we were there. It was kind of like a Rockwell winter setting

The 1862 Seasons On Main B&B was everything is was billed as. We were met at the rear door as we pulled into the lot. We were given a quick tour of the facilities which made several common areas available with coffee, tea, water and OJ. Candy, cookies and ice cream could be had if you wished. Want to play pool or watch a movie on a large screen while sitting in theater seats - they have it. Breakfast was from a menu and individually prepared for you. The staff was very accommodating and helpful.

The only thing we struggled with was the heat was up to high for our needs. We used the romantic gas fireplace in the room and had to crack the window.

Our learnings is that the B&B was a great place to stay but we failed to make dinner reservations early enough and were not able to get into anyplace we wanted to. We ended up at Red Lion and overpaid for two not-so-good meals. No reflection on the inn.

Saddly, my dad passed away in November and I had booked 2 weeks vacation from work because we were hosting Thanksgiving in our home for 33. The second week was for relaxation. I had previously received notification of a Travel Zoo special and my husband and I decided this would be a good chance to get away after a busy wake, funeral and Thanksgiving. We had read reviews for The Red Lion Inn that were OK, but were very impressed with the reviews for the 1862--so that was the choice we made. Camillo couldn't have been nicer and made several contacts with us in preparation for our stay. We stayed at the 1862 during the first weekend in December He welcomed us warmly and took us on a tour of the B&B and then let us settle in. Our room was GORGEOUS! Warm and comfy --what a beautiful bedroom with gas fireplace--a cozy throw on the bed with a Berkshire Bark chocolate bar to welcome us--doesn't get much better than that! And such a bathroom and cedar closet--much bigger that our own bathroom at home! I'm a girly-girl at heart and to have Old Country Roses china set for breakfast and what felt/looked like antique crystal for juice was simply grand. Paul was our chef and made every effort to prepare food for the gods. Such a selection, with homemade pastry too! You sure couldn't beat that meal. It held us for a good part of the day. We had ice cream each evening for a real treat. The B&B is a short walk into the center where we strolled the shops, but also close enough to take a drive each day to see Lee, West Stockbridge, and into Stockbridge to find the Divine Mercy Shrine. In a previous visit to Stockbridge we had already seen the Norman Rockwell Museum, so this trip we did not return there. One afternoon Camillo arranged a massage for each of us with a massage therapist from The Ranch (I believe it was). While we could not have a couples massage because of the limited space, this was of no concern because we still had our independent time to relax and feel pampered. We also felt very special because there were no other guests at the hotel for our Mon, Tues, Wed, so we essentially had the run of the house--but it was quiet and our own time to relax, regroup, and refresh. No question about it--we will return in the future. We are happy to recommend this location for a wonderful stay. We were treated well, enjoyed the beautiful surroundings, and were made to feel very special.

Room Tip: We saw all the rooms and they were all beautiful.

My husband and I just spent a wonderful weekend at 1862 Seasons on Main in the Spring Suite. This was the perfect location for our winter weekend getaway, and I'm so glad we chose to stay there. Our room was spacious yet cozy, with all the amenities to make for a very comfortable and relaxing stay. As so many other reviewers have described, they are doing everything right with attention to detail. We were impressed by the charm of period details combined with all the modern conveniences you might wish to have. It truly felt like being home away from home. Camilo and Paul were gracious hosts who efficiently and thoughtfully helped make our stay a most pleasant experience. This was by far, one of the best bed and breakfast experiences we have ever had. As we were getting ready to check out, my husband commented to me that he wished that we could stay longer. We definitely plan to return (hopefully sooner rather than later)!

Room Tip: The Spring Suite was quiet, private, and very comfortable.

We of course strive every day to be the best we can and we love and very much appreciate that you titled your post as The "Best of the Berkshires" !! That is our goal since day one when we opened our doors to visitors just 10 months ago, and we will continue to be just that each and every day, with each and every guest. You were very kind to say we are "doing everything right" even if that is virtually impossible. Please come back again as you stated you would and we promise to give 100% effort to continue your exceptionally positive feelings about your "home away from home". .
