This place is amazing and we had anticipated spending 90 minutes there but wound up enjoying 3 hours worth. There is something for everyone including all ages. the Museum is located on a large picturesque setting a few miles out of town. Rockwell's original studio was moved from the downtown area to this new location. The Museum is modern and well laid out over 2 floors. The main floor includes most of Rockwell's famous paintings, each with his unique story telling style. One painting equals 1000 words certainly holds true here; some may even give you goose bumps. The paintings demonstrate how Rockwell evolved over his lifetime, capturing many points paralleling the history and events in our Country. The downstairs exhibit shows all of his covers on Post magazine. There's even an interesting 20 minute video covering Rockwell's life.
When we visited, there was a second exhibit which included a protégée of Rockwell's who created all the artwork for Super heroes, tracing that history going back to the original Superman. Special secondary exhibits change, so it's best to check it out before your trip.
