Another artist to enrich us with his portrayal of everyday life. Two hours is sufficient to see the collection and perhaps stroll outdoors.

“Fascinating in-depth look”
Reviewed March 28, 2013

Terrific museum with well-described paintings and prints. We only caught the tail end of a tour, but the speaker was knowledgeable and well-spoken. It was an intimate look at Norman Rockwell as a person as well as a painter. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

“History in the Covers”
Reviewed March 22, 2013

It's been a long time soince we last visited the museum, it was on Main Street right downtown, and it has now moved to more spacious quarters less than a mile from downtown. The originals on display are awe-inspiring and bring back memories of seeing them originally on Saturday Evening Post magazine covers. My wife and I enjoyed an afternoon there and we are both sure we could go back and see things we probably missed or did not spend enough time looking at.

“LOVED IT!”
Reviewed March 21, 2013

Norman Rockwell is my favorite artist so getting the opportunity to visit this museum was amazing. I was giddy with excitement despite the weather being rainy and cold. The paintings are more amazing seeing it up close and personal with the brush strokes and attention to detail (like the reflection of the clouds in the windows), their collection of magazine covers in the basement were great! I strongly suggest getting the audio tour because some of Rockwell's former models speak about the paintings they participated in. Girl at Mirror made me tear up a bit because it was so honest. The museum tour is good as well. She spoke about The Four Freedoms and again Rockwell's body exaggeration to represent certain important factors in the paintings. I would love to go back again during the autumn to enjoy the fall colors. Great Fantastic Wonderful! Oh yeah...the Gift Shop had a lot of great stuff too! Got a print, a tote bag, and a book.
