This small museum does not display all of Rockwell's work, but it has an excellent collection of Saturday Evening Post covers and a number of original paintings displayed in an attractive building on lovely grounds. The barn housing Rockwell's studio was moved from its original site in Stockbridge to the museum grounds. There are tours of the museum and helpful docents are available to answer questions.

I would highly recommend a visit here. See the short movie first and then go through the tons of Saturday Evening Posts and many varied paintings this creative artistic man painted. Wonderful! Also be sure to visit his studio. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Im glad Mr. Rockwell had the foresight to set up this museum.

I am glad some friends of ours found this little known museum by accident and told us about it just off the Mass Pike in the town of Stockbridge MA. Always a fan of Norman Rockwell, I remember well his inputs to the Saturday Evening Post and Look magazines. This took me back in time to the 40's to 60 time period. The Museum presents a large collection of original Norman Rockwell art, including paintings and the best in the field of American illustration. Don't miss the live presentation by the personnel prior to touring the museum. It will set the stage for you and provide insight to his life and little known facts on the paintings. Visit also his studio and see where he worked in the later years. See his art, life and legacy in the artist’s picturesque New England hometown.

I did not really know about Norman Rockwell, (not from the US) - the dvd shown downstairs is well worth it, gives you a good back ground on him.
His art was so full of life, took many photo's and wish I could afford his originals! I would buy a few.
My husband and I had lunch there after, and really enjoyed our outing.
His original studio is also on the property.

Just a really fun museum that is well laid out and you learn much about this man who didn't consider himself an artist- but rather an illustrator.
