Didn't stay at motel, but ate at restaurant. Another Diamond Tours choice. Food was not good, too salty. Same complaint by most of 43 other people we were with. Would not eat there again nor recommend.

While the Old Irish Village needs a little TLC, (ok maybe alot of TLC), we always had a great time with good food, entertainment & friendly staff who made you feel at home. For 2011 they moved to a new location @ a mile or so east of the old location. The new place is much newer & better rooms & larger indoor & outdoor pools. Listen to the reviews from the guest that visited in 2011 for a current opinion of The Irish Village. Can't wait to return again this summer.

We spent one night at the Irish Village with extended family in March 2011.

The rooms:
The decor in the rooms were dated and the furniture in the room worn. The couch was ripped and the chair was very banged up. The bathroom floor was very sticky and our toilet not very clean.

The food and service:
We ate at the restaraunt on site. The food was good. The menu had a lot of variety. We were there on the room/dinner/breakfast package. We were able to choose from the whole menu while on the package.

The service at the front desk, in the restaraunt, and the lounge was fabulous. Everyone was friendly and attentive.

The good food and service almost made up for the dated rooms.

The place is bigger-"much"-indoor halls which is nice rooms are clean and large enough for our 3-4 day stay. We have been coming down here for the past 7 +/- years and have found the Village/Gull wing suites t consistent with thier services resonable rates and how we as a family are treated in gereral. The rooms were always clean and the phone call from the front desk to verify your comfort is a nice gesture. Yes at times there have been minor isues as with all Inns/motels-but the fact the staff quickly acknowledges your concerns ( and responds to the best of their ability) makes us fell like we are their only guests- Basically every time we come back we tend to see people that we have seen before so to me that is one of the best compliments a place can get. See you next month!!

We have been going to the Irish Village for 15 years. It is a perfect spot for families, couples, or anyone. It is convenient, clean, restaurant is great. Go summer, fall, spring, or winter. Love the large indoor pool and hot tub. People all are very, very friendly.

The package deal was reasonably priced however the room was filthy. The mirror at the sink was covered with toothpast splatter, hair in the shower, ripped wallpaper, musty. It was a section of the hotel set back and aside which appeared to house the summer workers. The bed was tipped back (uneven) so as the head of the bed tilted downward. It was dated, dirty and when I asked that the room be cleaned while we went out to have lunch, the manager neglected to do so at all and never apologized for the condition of the room or the the fact that they didn't clean it upon request. They only returned money less the deposit even though I indicated it was too dirty to stay there. Clarion 1/2 mile away GREAT choice.
