“Excellent Food and Good Portions”
Reviewed October 22, 2013

The atmosphere of the restaurant was great. It is very cute, kind of ecclectic and very enjoyable. Our server was very personable and very helpful. The food was excellent and the portions were very good. We have been vacationing in the Berkshires for about 8 years and have finally found our favorite restaurant. We are looking forward to our next meal at Perigee!

“Fine Dining With A Unique Twist”
Reviewed October 20, 2013

Perigee is one of those chef-owned restaurants that provides deliciously interesting variations with its fine dining offerings, and in the case of Perigee, with better than average size portions. Too many times restaurants with excellent food offer a menu with higher prices and smaller portions. At Perigee you won't find three string beans considered a vegetable side. While the prices are somewhat on the expected higher side (20 - 28 dollars per entree) for the fine dining it offers, the portions are generous without being obnoxious. The New England colonial decor inside is warm and romantic, and although a fairly small place, the seating is spaciously laid out and and comfortable. Excellent food, service and atmosphere. The only knock, they close too early -- at 9 pm!!

“Above average food and experience”
Reviewed October 14, 2013

We eat at this restaurant every time we're in the area. The food is reliably good and this last time, everyone cleaned up their plates. Vegetarians and vegans will find good dishes! The atmosphere is nice and the Friday night pianist added to the atmosphere without being obtrusive.

“Mediocre service”
Reviewed October 12, 2013

This was our first time. Most places in this area are empty so we didnt make a reservation. It was our first night in the area this particular vacation as well. The host asked us if we had a reservation and seemed mildly annoyed we didn't but was able to seat us. The waitress was the same but ten fold. She seemed completely annoyed but tried to put on a good face. Not sure if she was upset that we were seated at a table that should have seated more or if she was just fake. The menu was good. The food was excellent. The atomosphere was very nice. I have to say tho...most of the staff just seemed miserable. The lady who brought us bread practically threw it at us. The host did come to check in on us tho. Thst made me feel a little better.

My advice to Periger is jist take in your customers. They come from all different areas. This should be a fun job. It is a relaxing envirinment otherwise. If u want to see a really stressful environment come to Boston

“Birthday dinner”
Reviewed September 19, 2013

On a brisk September Berkshire night we went to dine at Perigee to celebrate my sister-in-law's 80th birthday. Immediately as we entered, the homey warm atmosphere greeted us. The meal did not disappoint. Our waitress, Tammy, was wonderful and gave us excellent service. She topped off the evening with a candle lit dessert for our birthday celebration. We will return to Perigee again.
