Love this place. Move over DD and Starbucks. They make an awesome London Fog-Earl Gray tea and steamed milk! They have cute tall mugs or big saucer cups if you are enjoying your beverage there. Cozy spot to meet friends, plenty also use this spot as a meeting place to study or be tutored. Books for sale along the walls for a $1. Some local artists display there artistic work from time to time. Enjoy it if you try it!

I went to the Thirsty Mind, signed in and played my guitar for open mike night. What a great group of talented musicians. (check out the pics on their facebook page).

Such a nice place to meet up with friends, work on your computer, or relax, in the center of the South Hadley. The pastries were reasonably good, as was the coffee. It is the location and the atmosphere that makes the place.

The Valley area has quite a few coffee shops I prefer, but "the pickin's are slim" in this part of South Hadley. The location in the warren of shops across from Mt. Holyoke College is ideal if you have other business in the area – I like to come here before readings at the nearby Odyssey Bookshop. The atmosphere is pleasant: relaxed, appealing decor, plenty of customers working on their electronic devices. They also have a full menu of coffee and tea drinks, including some, like the Thai latte (made with condensed milk), that I don't see much outside of Boston. On weekends they seem to be offering more and more folk concerts with local musicians – it’s often packed for these events, so get here early to get a seat.

Some improvements would be nice: the food selection is abysmal, especially for vegetarians; the pastries are white flour mush (yes, bakers, you CAN use wheat flour in pastries!); and the baristas are among the slowest I've seen. But it's the only game in this part of town.

Working in the area of Thirsty mind, we, at work, tend to stop by to get out of the office and enjoy and nice coffee and pastry. Relaxing tables, chairs and couches, with books all around. Great place to play on your computer or just relax and enjoy your coffee. They also sell beer and wine but have not been there during the night hours..I am sure it is just as relaxing if not more, with a great glass of wine or cold beer
