I love close to the college and enjoy coming here during the summer when classes are over and the campus is quiet, camera in hand. This campus has some amazing architecture and ancient trees that are a photographer's dream.
There is a wonderful garden area that comes alive in the spring and summer with seating to sit and absorb the quiet. A fountain is steps beyond that. There is a lake with geese, a waterfall, and the grave of founder Mary Lyon sits on a hill not far from the ampitheatre.
Open to the public is a greenhouse that I sometimes escape to in the middle of winter when I need some tropical warmth and colorful plants to brighten my day.
