This is one of those comfortable places where locals go and are usually friendly with travelers that happen to visit. It is not fancy but the food is good and prices reasonable.

There are about 20 tables/booths but the draw, reason the parking lot is almost always full is the food and super quick service. The NE chowder is really good as are all the menu items we've tried. This is on the way to our daughter's house in NH, off Interstate 91, exit 24. You won't regret the trip diversion.

We had a brilliant meal at Wolfie's. From the menu, the food looks like typical American fare - burgers, ribs, potato skins, onion rings, etc (which frankly, after 2 weeks on the road, we were getting a little sick of). When it arrived in front of us, there was nothing typical about it. My husband ordered the seafood chowder and ribs and said it was the best of both he'd ever eaten. I went for the potato skins and a cheese burger. The burger was great but the skins were amazing. We had a great time chatting with Robin, who was so welcoming and sincere. I would highly recommend you check out Wolfie's if you are in town. I would even venture to suggest you make a special trip there if you are not in town. Just beware - the meals are huge!! You'll be taking home a box.

Wolfies is a casual dining place that features good burgers and sandwiches along with a variety of hearty entrees. We've been eating there for several years on a regular (6-12 times per year) basis.

We've never had a bad meal, but keep your expectations under control. It's not cutting edge cuisine, but if you are hungry you will have a good meal here.

We stopped in after visiting the Emily Dickinson museum in Amherst, MA, and it was great. The waitress was friendly, the food tasted great and was reasonably priced, and service was FAST! Also make sure you partake of the free popcorn, which they have in the center of the restaurant. We only had to wait about 5 minutes for our food, which tasted great. The fries were especially good. Be sure to stop by if you're in South Deerfield! It's a great little restaurant!
