First, once you get past the extremely intrusive practice/policy of asking for your driver’s license so they can scan it, and verify your identity...(“for your protection” which much more expensive hotels don’t do...oh and you pay the Red Roof Inn upfront for the whole stay), then it’s as good a place to stay as any.
Rooms are clean, big and relatively quiet. The pool is overrun on the weekends by what looks like parties of people (40+ both times) - renting rooms, ordering pizza and having a good time there. (The pool by Sunday night had large hairs floating and the water was cloudy...).
We had a nice stay regardless. It’s conveniently located off I-91 and has a Dunkin Donuts next to it so you can walk there and grab breakfast, and fill your gas tank, too. Lots of restaurants within 5-7 miles of the hotel.
