We actually stayed in cottage #2 but they appear to fairly similar. I used to vacation in Chatham as a kid in the late 60's and early 70's. These cottages are VERY reminiscent of those days. Knotty pine, clean, basic...with a hospitable host who enjoys hosting guests that he considers friends. There is no A/C but you are 5 minutes walk to the beach so there is almost always a breeze and the cottages are pretty well shaded by pines.
It was a quite quiet and peaceful there....Cottage #2 does back right up to a play area / swing set so when the neighbor kids woke up....
John the host was exceptionally accommodating and beyond fair in his charges.
You will be hard put to find anywhere with as much space and as convenient to the beach and other local happenings for twice as much!
The Talkative Pig at the top of the street was a great place to get a cup of coffee in the morning...and my son really liked their blueberry muffins.
Again....this place is a bargain if you keep in mind that John works hard to keep it reasonably priced...and thus doesn't spend money except to keep things in good working order.
