Black Bean burger - great veggie burger, delicious taste of beans and avocado. All the appetizers are wonderful and sizable. I also love their hazelnut and prosciutto salad. The house margarita - Perfect! its very cozy and the atmosphere is great, highly recommend it.

For some reason it took us years to make it to the Highland Kitchen, but I'm so glad we finally did. We had some superb cocktails (my favorite one featured cream sherry as a key ingredient, though it wasn't at all sweet) and outstanding food. My jambalaya was exquisite, perfectly spicy and hearty, and my husband's goat stew was even better. It was packed on a Friday night and very loud, but we knew to expect that-- and no wonder, either, when the food is this good.

One of my favorite restaurants in the Boston area. Unique menu, great food, cool atmosphere, and appropriately priced.

I have yet to be let down by Highland Kitchen. On my latest visit, everything went smoothly. A short wait on a Friday night was to be expected, and time passed quickly with the awesome jukebox selection and a Mark and stormy (a favorite cocktail of mine; Like a 'dark and stormy' but with Maker's Mark). The oysters and buffalo brussel sprouts were excellent starters, and the meatloaf special that night was a perfect comfort food for the snowy evening. The staff is always excellent and even moved us to a booth on request. Will be back as soon as humanly possible!

Theres alot to like about this establishment. i stopped by for brunch this past weekend and the first thing i noticed was how buisy they were which is a good sign the second thing i noticed was the place was full of hipsters but i decided to give it a chance anyways!
As i said the place was very buisy and loud and i had a hard time hearing the waiter and ordering but there was live music and a buisy atmosphere isnt always a bad thing and the place has a real cool vibe to it. for a app i got the fried green tomatoes which were pretty dam good, they had some kind of hollandaise like sauce on them and they were served over big strips of bacon i could feel my heart clogging and it was great. i also got some raw clams from the raw bar which is always a win when you can order that sunday morning my only complaint is there oysters and raw clams really are over priced if they had been a lil cheaper i would have splurged. for dinner my gf got the steak and eggs it was ok 0 she gave me a bite of her steak it could have been better and at 16$ for the entree it was a real let down. i ordered the shrimp n grits and i cant go on enough about this dish. the grits were surprisingly flavorful with seasonings and the collard greens came mixed in the girts. for such a simple dish the presentation was pretty fancy looking and at 9.99 it was a steal. all in all not a bad go to sunday spot just get there early cause right around noon the place had a line out the door and be ready to drop some coin brunch with apps and drinks costed me just under 100$ for 2 people.
