“Hidden gem”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 12, 2013 via mobile

This place is an awesome hidden gem. We came here upon reviews and it was totally worth it. I had the cioppino and it was delicious. Their menu is very diverse and even offer gluten free pasta. I would highly recommend this place.

“Just right”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 18, 2012

This small gem in the up and coming Ball Square neighborhood is a find if it's genuine Italian food you're after. According to my Italian Mom, Anna cooks better than she did! Anyone with an Italian Mom will understand the significance of that statement. Everything is great, especially the seafood - the reason for the 'best affordable seafood' award for a few years running. They also have the best tiramisu east of the Mississippi. Great waitstaff, a tiny outdoor seating area in good weather - this place has it all.

“Good Italian”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 4, 2012

We have eaten here about 3-4 times. The first meal was great but since then it's been just ok. Fresh pasta is very good, well cooked. But the sauces have been sometimes bland. The fried calamari is not to be missed. Not greasy, right amount of batter with hot peppers. Yum. Service is inconsistent, more often on the bad side. There is no sound absorption in the place so it can be very loud.

“Cozy neighborhood restaurant”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 22, 2012

I would definitely recommend this place. If you can't make it to the North End, this is some of the nicest Italian food you'll find in the area. The food isn't amazing, but very solid, with a good variety of light and more substantial fare. The wines are good. Important note: they also have GREAT PIZZA for take out that's the same price as all the mediocre chain places! Check it out!

The pizza pickup door is separate from the main dining room though. The dining room is actually is a fun mix between elegant and relaxed. It's got nice enough atmosphere for a special night out, and you won't spend your whole paycheck. Enjoy!
