Everytime I go to Massachusetts I stay at La Quinta. The rooms are comfortable, the prices very fair, and the distance to the city and Cambridge very short. I find the service friendly, the rooms are clean and spacious, the personnel friendly and accommodating.

The heater was noisy and the shower control was coming apart ... but these were fixed the next day. The location is very convenient to I93 and downtown. The morning coffee is not freshly made ... they use Nestle instant instead. Room was comfortable and Internet worked well.

We were assured the hotel shuttle would come pick us up from the T station, that we just had to call and they would be right over. They didn't even answer the phone!!! We took a cab back to the hotel, and when we walked in and grumbled about them not answering, we were told that the phones were just crazy busy and between the two of them, they simply could not handle all the calls that came in. Mind you, we tried calling repeatedly over about 15 minutes. Disappointing. One of our two queen beds was uncomfortable. Price was very reasonable, though. Breakfast was typical continental fare. I'd stay again (and probably will, since my daughter hopes to attend college nearby), but won't depend on the shuttle service.

Room Tip: Room 311 was quiet enough for us!

Convenient, reasonably priced, consistently good service and accommodations keep us coming back when in the Somerville/Cambridge area. The only time we've switched hotels is when La Quinta didn't have a room availability.

I chose this hotel because it was close to Logan Airport and not far from the center of Boston. There is not a subway close enough to walk to. We had to get a cab when we got off the subway to get to the hotel. Wasn't far but not walkable for most.
The rooms are nice and clean and very quite. We did not have the free breakfast. Somerville has some great breakfast cafes.
The woman working at the front desk was not what I would call pleasant. She helped us but it was with an attitude. They have a free shuttle to. the airport which was so nice. A cab ride into Boston only cost about $10 or so and the subway is cheap even with the cab ride. I wuld defiantly stay there again.

Our stay at this hotel was quite a disappointment. First, we chose this hotel because the tour group we would be using to see Boston said they picked up from this hotel; the hotel also offered a shuttle to and from the airport. We arrive at Boston Logan and call the hotel to initiate the shuttle service. The woman who answered the phone instructed us to "wait by a orange sign, I don't know where it is, just find an orange sign and wait by it." Fine. It is now 1am, our plane landed at midnight, and we have been patently waiting by this orange sign to no avail. I suppose after seeing us shivering in the cold waiting with all of our luggage, a man employed by the airport felt pity for us and asked us who we were waiting for. When we said LaQuinta, he informed us that their shuttle waits somewhere else, and had in fact been there for over 30 minutes. Next, while checking in, we asked the front desk attendant where the tour busses pick up in the morning. She informs us that she has never heard of the tour busses picking up there. Great, its now 1:30am and we now have no way to get to the tour busses which we have already bought tickets for. Thankfully, I woke up early to call the tour company to inquire what we should do. They then told us that the attendant was mistaken and that they do intact pick up at the hotel. We stayed at the hotel for 3 days and 2 nights. The rooms are extremely overpriced considering the last time they were remodeled was most likely before my existence on this earth. On our first night we were told that the shuttle will also pick us up from the Sullivan Station T stop if we would call. We arrive at the station at 7:10pm and place our call to the hotel. They then rudely inform us that the shuttle only travels on the hour. Great. We were then faced with the choice of sitting at the T station for 50 minutes with the company of what appeared to be many homeless people and shady characters or walk in the darkness the 2 miles to the hotel. We chose to walk thinking it would be safer to keep moving than to sit at the station with our valuables in plain sight. It was a great walk if you enjoy freezing temperatures and harsh winds. It is finally time to check out of this motel. This time we are prepared for the shuttle's schedule and arrive on the hour to be taken to the T station. Only, instead of bringing us actually to the T station, they drop us off about 2 blocks away. While this would normally be fine, we have checked out and are carrying 6 large luggage bags between 2 ladies. This finally ended what I would call one of the worst stays at a hotel I have ever endured.

I stayed in a La Quinta Inn in 2011 in california and received great service and this is exactly the same. Its in a good location for Boston city centre and to visit places like Salem and some of the shopping centres. The room was clean and spacious, we did request a room with wheelchair accessibility but they didn't have that, thankfully the rooms and bathroom was big enough for my friend to be able to manoeuvre around in. Gym was okay, if not a bit basic and breakfast consisted of cereal, waffles, eggs and the usual things. There is free parking and wifi which is a bonus. I would happily stay here again
