“Wide range of barbecue and sauces”
Reviewed November 15, 2012

I like the variety of choices and the generosity of portions. Cornbread, slaw, potatoes all great side dishes. Share and
still get your fill. Upstairs for lunch & downstairs for dinner.
Alot of noise downstairs in eves.

“Great Food -- But Bye-Bye Redbones.”
Reviewed November 15, 2012

Redbones was our favorite place for barbecue for years. The fried catfish is also great, as are the hushpuppies. The butt-to-butt seating and noisy atmosphere are just part of the down-home atmosphere of the place. I bought a Groupon for a meal last summer -- but when we got there, the place was overflowing (had everyone bought Groupons?) out into the street and beyond. They were serving free samples from a truck outside, since the wait was upwards of 90 minutes. In the meantime, my husband was looking for a place to park, with no luck. He finally just drove back to where I was waiting, picked me up, and we left. It was a madhouse. Maybe if you're in your 20s or 30s or even 40s you can go with the flow. But we're in our 60s and it's just not worth the hassle any more.

“Some of the Best Barbecue in Boston”
Reviewed November 13, 2012

Located in Davis Square, it is the perfect place to meet friends for beer and BBQ. The barbecue is some of the best in the city.

“Redbones... yup”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

Had heard about this place for year but never made it to Davis Sq at the right time to find: a) parking, b) no wait for a table. It lives up to the hype. Enjoyed a CBC Porter Draft with a pulled pork sandwich for Sunday late lunch, very tasty. My wife had the bb ribs and they were fall off the bone tender and not too fatty. A winner... we'll be back now that our daughter lives in Davis Sq giving us more reason to fight the Davis Square parking wars ;)

“Best BBQ in Boston”
Reviewed October 26, 2012

I love this place. I go often.

Great beer selection from the bar, and it's the best BBQ in all of Boston. They have beef and pork ribs as well as other main dishes like brisket, chicken, pulled pork, etc.

They have all the traditional Southern side dishes - collard greens, black-eyed peas, cornbread, etc.

If you appreciate true BBQ, you'll love this place.
