“very comfortable, great location and value”
Reviewed May 13, 2010

The Morrison House is a perfect place for a group of friends/family to stay if you are looking for something in the Somerville area. It is a short walk to Davis Square and the T there so you don't need a rental car. It is comfortable and quiet, with a choice of different bedroom configurations. There is a room for a couple with a kid, the "little" room for a solo traveler, and other options. The hosts are nice and willing to help out with information about the area. If you want to book multiple rooms, though, book well in advance!

Very comfortable room and bed; delicious and healthy breakfasts; great location; stimulating conversations with other guests; very reasonable price. I will definitely return and recommend Morrison House to friends and relations. Thank you, Ron and Linde and Sebastian.

Morrison House is a wonderful place to stay in Boston. Ron & Linde are great hosts and nothing was too much trouble for them. We arrived very early in the morning after an overnight flight, and although we were only going to drop our bags off early so not to inconvenience them, they had set a place for us at breakfast. Our room was beautiful and had more than we expected. Lovely people, beautiful old home. Would highly recommend staying here.

I stayed at the Morrison House with my sister for 2 nights. The room that we shared was a very comfortable size for the 2 of us with private bath. The beds were very comfortable and the room was air conditioned which was important as it was quite hot. The breakfasts were fine. It would have been nice to have something hot to eat but the selection of cold items was nice. We had access to a computer to use the internet which was very handy. The subway in to boston was a couple of blocks away. Davis square was a nice place to go for a meal or shop and was right by the subway station. Getting to the train station when leaving was a piece of cake on the subway.

We loved our stay at the Morrison House! It was in a perfect location near Davis Square, which was a great base for seeeing Boston and the surrounding area. The hosts were fantastic and provided us with really useful information about where to eat, what to see etc. The room itself was lovely -we stayed in a room with a bathroom attached. It was clean, spacious and provided lots of extras like a hairdryer, bathrobe etc. Internet access was also provided in the house as well as DVD's to watch. The breakfast was really nice and included fresh fruit, cereal, home cooked baked goods, boiled eggs etc. We would defintely recommend this bed and breakfast and would love to return.

We stayed here to visit Boston.
Directions were emailed to us in advance.
Parking is available in the back, as well as chairs and tables for sitting outside.
We arrived when the host was out; no worries, they have a system in place that's easy to follow.
The room was pleasant, modern, and everything was clean. Towels are abundant, DVDs are available, local information is at your finger tips, huge flat-screen TV, closet with hangers ...
Breakfast was delicious; fresh cake and fruits, yogurt, hard-boiled eggs, toast etc... But served early!
We liked the location the most. Somerville is quaint and not far from Boston center. Because of the weather and our fatigue, we drove there easily.
However, the host hardly smiled and the price was a tad too much. The entrance and upstairs hallway lacks a bit of charm, and reminded by of a dormitory house.
Overall, I would prefer this B&B to a hotel room at the same price.
