“Tubing fun”
Reviewed February 18, 2014 via mobile

We went to Ski Ward for the very first time Presidents Day 2014 to go tubing. The kids had a blast as did I. The staff are pleasant and very good at their jobs. They made sure everyone stayed safe in the tubing lanes. The tubing itself is great fun. They have a tie rope that will take you up (you can also walk up if you're impatient) and the wait at the top was not bad. The lanes themselves are fast and smooth with no jarring bumps. Highly recommend for young and old. My only con is that I found it a little pricy.

“Great hill for younger kids or those looking for a terrain park.”
Reviewed January 27, 2014

I learned to ski 35 years ago at Ward Hill and all my kids have learned there. It's only about 300ft of vertical so don't expect a mountain. The lift tickets are expensive given the size, but it's a great place for kids to learn to ski and go on their own. Getting a season pass in the summer is the best option as it's offered with a high discount.
They installed a nice bar area in the lodge that allows you to see most of the hill and watch your kids from inside if you want.
They have a pretty extensive terrain park with an airbag jump as well.
Sunday AM and Thurs PM should be avoided as they are days the local Race Teams are there and it's extremely busy and the racers tend to be a bit oblivious of the other kids on the hill when not on course.

“Great in-town hill”
Reviewed January 22, 2014

Good ski hill to have in town. My sons school did lessons there and he enjoyed them and improved his skills. Good lodge and also a good place for lunch/dinner in the summer. Nice to eat outside and enjoy the greenery of the ski slope. They also have tubing both in the winter and summer.

“Multi-season adventures”
Reviewed January 7, 2014

Water slides, snow boarding--depends on the season. Family-run and always fun for kids. Most families drop off children for a couple hours of safe fun. Nothing's dangerous and everything's close by. Food services are very typical for this sort of small operation. Nothing gourmet, and you wouldn't expect to find it here. But for burgers, fries and drinks, they have it.

“Winter Fun for All Ages”
Reviewed December 30, 2013

A great place for everyone to enjoy, whether you are an avid skier or a beginner. The price range for the slopes, training and rentals are all within a modest family budget for the entertainment. Rental equipment is exceptionally great. Its worth checking out the site online and seeing the discounts offered. Perfect place to learn to ski or snowboard. The snow tubing slope is superb. Great place for single parents to entertain kids. The ski staff provide exceptional training for all ages. Definitely worth the trip!
