I will definitely stay here again! I couldn't believe how spacious and clean this hotel was. The staff was friendly and helpful. Even the standard rooms were very clean and comfortable, the pool is big and well-maintained, as is the weight room, and the complimentary breakfast was great. The breakfast room is huge and clean and the selections were quite generous - waffles, pancakes, omelets, bacon, breads, and pastries, oatmeal, cereals, juices, tea, etc.. And the location is ideal - literally right off the highway with lots of stores and restaurants within walking distance, and just a 10 minute drive over the bridge into downtown Providence. I was truly impressed.

My husband and I stayed many nights at the Clarion during the past two months while we were on a death vigil for a family member. The staff were wonderfully sympathetic and empathetic to us and our needs.

We had a favorite room that we reserved whenever we could get it and our "extra 3 pillows" were usually in the room when we checked in. The room(s) are comfortable and clean, beds are very comfortable, and, when in the room, you can't hear sounds from other rooms or in the hallway.

The breakfast choices are more than ample with hot and cold choices. It is a "complimentary" breakfast, not a "continental" breakfast. The breakfast room is clean and well hosted by the 3 women who work there.

Silvia is the general manager and she and her staff are very efficient, tending to every request in a timely fashion.

We look forward to returning to the Clarion under happier circumstances.

Just your average stay at a hotel. Bathrooms are small, rooms okay, comfortable. Walls are real thin, heard kids crying or getting yelled at all night. Service was okay and they were friendly enough. If you just need a place to sleep for the night then this hotel will do. The major plus was the restaurant, staff was friendly and it was reasonably priced with good food and plenty on tap.

I recently stayed here one night with my young sons. The young lady at the desk was extremely helpful. Our room was nicely furnished, very clean, and the beds were very comfortable. We had a good time in the pool which was clean and perfect for a family. The breakfast was just okay-but it was free and they had some items kids would like. Overall, I was extremely pleased. I have stayed at other hotels in this price range which were not as clean or offered as much. Wallet and I would highly recommend.

I stayed two nights while attending a conference in Providence. This hotel was far less expensive than those right in downtown Providence, and it was a very easy commute into town each morning. This was one of the best hotel stays I've had in a while. Things started positive with a very quick and friendly check in. I was asked if it was OK to be on the second floor since there is no elevator and that was fine. Those for whom this is a concern should ask for a ground floor room. My room was clean and nicely furnished with everything very new including a nice HDTV with actual HDTV channels. The bed was comfortable as well. The little details were taken care of at a level you rarely see in a hotel in this price range. The lobby and corridors were also clearly very well cared for. There is a pool, but I didn't go to that part of the hotel. There is also a nice-looking courtyard but the weather was not warm enough to check it out. My only major complaint was with the wireless Internet, which cut out often enough to be nearly useless. This normally would be enough to ruin a stay for me, but the person at the front desk was genuinely concerned and explained that the company that runs the service for them recently changed some things that clearly caused problems and that they (the hotel management) was definitely going to pressure them to get things fixed. Another highlight was the breakfast area. It was huge, with the food items spread around the sides of the room so as to be very easily accessible. There was plenty of seating, and the area was continuously being replenished and cleaned by a very friendly and hard-working person. The variety and quality of the food itself was far above the typical breakfasts that are included in the room rate. Sometimes when a hotel is remodeled, it is not really updated. This seems to me to be a hotel that's been around a long time but when it was renovated, it was also completely updated. And I'll emphasize once more the pleasant interactions I had with every staff member I encountered.

When traveling, I have stayed at this location, and each time the service and value have been exceptional. Great staff, Sonya and Sylvia at the desk are always 100% courteous, professional and accommodating.
The attached restaurant, Dublin Rose, is great for pub food and drink without having to drive anywhere and back for the night's stay.

We stayed at this hotel over T-giving. We originally wanted to stay 3 days, but only stayed one. With all our luggage, they booked us a queen suite on the second floor. What we thought was a suite ( w door per pictures on the website) turned out to be an oversized room (aka NYC Studio apt). An elevator would've been nice since we had to hump 2 large suitcases and some other personal items up the stairs. In the lobby, there were two huge rolls of carpet and about 40 cans of paint. Wish that would've been hidden somewhere, but whatever. The room was supposedly remodeled, but looked nothing like on the pictures, the pull out couch was ripped, and the AC unit was hanging down. In the bathroom, the mirror was soo low, I had to bend down to look at my face. Furthermore, the laminate flooring (with no padding underneath) was missing and had gaps in various places causing some of the boards to slide around. The windows are very old and need to be replaced so you hear everything outside. Road noise is significant. Room quality/remodel varies greatly!!!! They offered me another room, but it was a king basic room w/ jacuzzi. Not useful for a family and definitely not worth the jacked up price for t-giving. So we checked out and headed to the Best Western ($40 less per night, and much nicer). Be sure to check the room prior to unloading your luggage. I informed the manager of my stay and quality of the room, but seriously why have your guests point out issues that should've been fixed in the first place. I felt like the TLC guy who points out bad stuff to hotel manager.

Room Tip: Room quality varies from room to room. Don't get a room that faces the highway. No elevator...
