“Wonderful Romantic B&B”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 17, 2012

We stay at B&B every year to celebrate our anniversary and the Jacob Hill Inn is by far the best one we've ever stayed at! Excellent attention to every detail, warm, funny, wonderful hosts, our room was beautiful and spotless clean, the breakfast was delightful, directions to nearby attractions, helpful recommendations, etc. We came as strangers and left as friends! Bill and Eleonora are wonderful, thank you so much for your hospitality.

Room Tip: Vanderbuilt Room was beautiful

We’re so glad you could stay with us! One of the many reasons we love inn keeping is that we get to make new friends everyday. Hope to see you both again soon!

Dropped off our son at Bryant for a lacrosse camp and decided to stay in the area and enjoy the Fourth of July holiday sans kids...and boy did we! This was a lovely place that I found by reading other reviews on Trip Advisor. Location - great, Amenities - outstanding, Service - unparalleled!
This Inn offered the perfect mix of history with modern convenieinces. Our room was beautiful with a posh bathroom and linens - but it was the extra touches our hosts Bill and Elenora offered that made it a wonderful getaway. Personalized service and hospitality; delicious breakfasts and baked treats, help with dinner reservations and planning excursions, and lovely conversation. Can't wait to go back and visit them again!

Thanks so much for your kind words! Although we love the historical aspect of the inn, it’s also nice to have modern conveniences such as the Jacuzzi tubs! As always, we welcome customer feedback and are glad you stopped by our trip advisor page. See you soon!

My wife and I decided to (finally) visit the Boston area to audition “French Horns” and (finally) acknowledge our twenty fifth wedding anniversary. So… a hurried road-trip was planned. We were drawn to the Jacob Hill Inn with the expectation of unwinding calmly in a special home away from home. We were not disappointed! Bill and Eleonora graciously put up with our last minute planning, late arrival and greeted us with unmatched hospitality. Our only regret was not having the freedom to stay the weekend. We will visit again to correct this when we go drum shopping…

What a find! Took a chance after hearing such great things about Jacob Hill Inn and booked a weekend stay while visiting a friend in RI. Experience far exceeded my expectations. Eleonora and Bill made us feel at home from the time we pulled up. Food was outstanding! Our room was warm and comfortable with a beautiful bathroom and fireplace to keep us cozy during the cool winter nights. Will definitely be staying again! Thank you for the wonderful hospitality!

This B&B is well appointed. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The main building is the barn which holds several rooms, a large breakfast area and on the second floor a very comfortable, very spacious common room with lots of comfy seating, pool table, ping pong, large TV. It was a great place to sit with friends drink wine and enjoy being away from home. The barn is over 200 years old with wonderful exposed wood beams and wide floorboards. Bill and Eleanore have done some amazing restoration work. The building is sold and quiet. It's an artful blend of old style and modern amenities.

The website calls out their award winning stuffed french toast. We would agree the breakfasts were full and prepared.

The Inn is only 15 minutes to Federal Hill or downtown Providence. Bill and Eleanore will be happy to guide you to some excellent restaurants. Its also a short drive to several local Vineyards or down to the Mansions of Newport.

Definitely a nice stay for a long weekend.

OK, so you book a B&B on the Internet for a 2-day stay with your wife on your 40th anniversary, not really knowing what to expect and....voila!! you hit the jackpot!!!! The very special part of our stay here, even more imporant and memorable than the impeccable inn, was the innkeeepers Bill and Eleonora. So hospitable, so gracious, and Bill is a riot. They attended our every need and made us feel very special. We look forward to seeing them again and, hopefully, again. Yes, the inn itself was wonderful, but the hosts even more so. A unique place to stay! Peter and Linda Graves, New Rochelle, New York

Room Tip: all rooms wonderful - depends on your wallet.

What a great review of our Inn. How wonderful that you choose us to celebrate your 40th wedding anniversary. We are pleased that you felt like you hit the jackpot! Funny that’s my husband’s saying, I’m so glad you enjoyed his humor. Glad to hear we met your expectations and look forward to your next visit.

Surprised my husband on his January birthday with a stay at this lovely inn. Everything was as perfect as a previous stay two years ago. The room was immaculate and so beautiful, the cheese tray and beverages a nice touch, and the breakfast the next morning very tasty with french toast, fresh fruit and these wonderful muffins. We were treated like returning friends! I could not recommend this inn more for any travel plans in the area, and especially a romatic getaway. Wonderful inn and wonderful hosts.
