“Fast Friday”
Reviewed March 11, 2008

Come to Sekonk Speedway on Friday nights! Averages about 200 people each friday night instead of the thousands that come for saturday and sunday races. Friday nights start at 6 and end around 830-9 so its not late for you're kids. Friday nights are best for the family to spend time because it is the Minicups, Gokarts, and Pure Stocks racing so the cars are not loud, and the races are short (about 25 laps per race). Come to the friday night races with youre family to miss the coud, and tickets are free for children and $3 for adults. GREAT DEAL! Hope to see you there, and Root for the #8 Minicup car!!!!! his website is [--]. go there for more info about Seekonk speedway and him!

“Crowded- very crowded!”
Reviewed August 3, 2007

If I tell you that this is a great place to take your family, I'm afraid that I won't get a good seat! This place really needs to expand, because there are far too many racing fans in the area that attempt to attend this speedway that they can comfortably seat. If you arrive when the gates open, you will not find a seat. In the many years I've attended, I've seen people wandering around lugging lawn chairs with small children in tow struggling to find a spot- I just feel bad for them. My best advice to you, is to buy your tickets ahead of time, either online or at the gate before the big day. There are two mile long lines that form in the parking lot- 1) the people who don't have tickets, and 2) the people who already have tickets. If you already have your tickets, then you get to go in an hour earlier than the gates actually open- as for the others, they get second seating at the opening gate time. But even if you already have tickets, it's best to camp out in the parking lot (with all the other die-hards) at least five hours before the gates open to get a remotely good seat. Also, you can only bring in a six pack size cooler or they won't let you in- no glass bottles or alcohol is allowed in either, they check all coolers upon entering. On the days there are big shows (Memorial Day, the 4th of July, and Labor Day) good luck trying to go to the bathroom- you might just pee your pants! The lines here are unbelievably long- at least fifty people waiting in line to use the bathroom all night- (even at the port-a-johns!) Also, the beers here are like $5 for a small draft cup- so if you plan on having a few, bring some cash. The food is not bad, if you want to wait in another mile long line- it's best to pack & bring your own. With that said, if you're a big racing fan, than all this is a small price to pay. As for the fireworks, they are the best anywhere, the demolition derby-SICK... and as for the spectator drags- with over a hundred cars of all years, makes, and models, it's one of the best drag shows in all of New England!
