“reviews were right-good food-good price”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 30, 2012

tried what others said was good. had fish - chowder. we had the panko and the thin crust(regular) fish. they also have english(thick crust) fish. both we had were good but the panko was really exceptional. chowder was good too. also had a crab cake and stuffie in a combo plate, they were not so good. found the diner to be old looking but clean, did not, like others, feel it was dirty at all. will be back. want to try the other fried seafoods there since the panko fish was the best fried fish i have ever had anywhere. the price was more than reasonable for the fish and chips. 1 complaint. that great fish does not belong with frozen fries.

“Top end seafood in a local setting”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 24, 2011

These guys won the Newport clam chowder cookoff against the big area restaurants and thier seafood chowder is even better. The best fried clams and scollops that I have EVER had. Thier nonseafood menu is also solid with good diner type selections like great club sandwiches. The service is homey and friendly. I couldnt recomend it more.

“This is the place to get a Clam Strip Roll”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 25, 2011

Everytime I visit Seekonk, I have to stop in Micheletti's and get a Clam Strip Roll! The portions are generous are the best in the area! The restaurant oozes with what I call "local color". The food is good, reasonably priced and quick. It's more of a diner than a restaurant. :) Oh..they have whole clams (with bellies)...but I prefer clam strips!

“pass it by”

ok the chowder is not bad but the meatloaf tasted like bacon grease { no doubt warmed on the grill with bacon frying] .. the veal cutlet was a pressed microwaved patty served on a hot dog bun.. enough said

“Fabulous Clam Chowder!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 27, 2007

Saw this place on Food Network and decided to check it out since we are always looking for great clam chowder. We ended up making a special road trip from Maryland just to try it and absolutely loved it. From the outside the place looks like an old diner, but inside it's homey and the staff is friendly. They have an electric train set up to run around the walls above your head, so kids will enjoy watching it travel while they wait for the food to arrive.

We brought home 4 quarts of the chowder on our first trip and had to stop back on our way home from Portland just to get more this summer. Go for the chowder, stay for the down home food.
