“Fantastic food”
Reviewed December 15, 2012

We happened to be lodged in a nearby hotel and came across this restaurant almost by accident. It was a great decision to give it a try, perhaps it isn't the cheapest of the neighborhood but I have never tasted 'penne alla vodka' like those. Wonderful!. The day after we came back and i couldn't avoid asking the lobster ravioli with the same sauce, another hit. It has a long menu so i would strongly recommend to give it a try.

“Finally tried it - Nice atmosphere, average service, OVERPRICED food - too many choices in Seekonk to be competitive.”
Reviewed November 6, 2012

Have watched this place convert from former Bickfords, then a "fancier" version of Eleven Forty Nine, now 1149 Bar & Grill... Live in the area & wanted a non-chain experience and something different before a show at the PPAC. The sign outside advertised burger & beer special for $12.95, that brought us in - sounded reasonable. This place opens at 4:00, but dining room opens at 5:00 for seating so we sat in the lounge. It was comfortable, very few guests, but a bit chilly. The menu is as expected, but way over priced. I agree with previous posters - salad (small) comes with 3 slices of tomato, 3 slices of cukes, & handful of mixed greens - nothing special, nothing memorable. The steak was good, but smallest portion I have ever had on a salad and it was expensive ($16.00 for bistro salad with steak). My daughter had chicken cabonara... tasty again, but expensive at $16 too (never mind add drinks). It wasn't like the portion justified the price... there were no leftovers to bring home. My other daughter had pizza which I agree with previous poster again... just nothing extra special, but it was actually a bit more reasonable at $9.00. As for service it was average, brought drinks including water, order was accurate & as requested. We had to ask for bread which then came with our meals.
We wanted to like this place & be able to include it on our regular places to visit, but there are too many other restaurants to eat at with much better prices. We would try Not Your Average Joe's, DiParma's, or venture into Providence for a meal that expensive. Our bill was $70.00 for my family of 4 eating a burger, steak salad, pizza, & pasta with chicken.... just too much for me to justify spending again. Sorry - wanted to support a locally owned rather than chain, but will pass by for more affordable dining experience.

“Over priced for Seekonk”
Reviewed September 12, 2012

This restaurant is well decorated and nice atmosphere but for a lunch date in Seekonk they are overpriced. Some of the salads with a protein added were $18 and they were lacking. The salad I ordered had mosty spinach and cranberries and not much else. The Margarita Pizza was OK but nothing special. Disappointing lunch
