The Tavern is one of the best meals, low prices and Big portions on the south shore. The "Bar Pizza" is to die for, the fried clams are awesome. Great service.

Had a wonderful lunch here and was blown away by the fried clams. Lobster roll was well filled and tasty with a side of sweet potato fries that complemented it perfectly.
Their legendary Fish Chowder was tasty with tons of fish - but the creamy broth was a little too thin to pass as "chowder" IMHO.
Nothing fancy here but food was fresh and well-prepared and just right for a New England lunch.

The Satuit Tavern has excellent seafood for a price that probably beats the grocery store. I had baked scallops, which were excellent, with broccoli and potatoes. The meal cost $18, but I had at least 14 scallops. I was very happy with the meal. They seem to do mostly take-out business, but also have a cute, albeit small inside restaurant. They are really missing outside sitting, because they are across the street from the harbor. Overall, a great place to visit.

Locals love this place, and flock here every night, particularly in the summer. Casual, big menu, kid friendly, great fried clams and onion rings, and a townie scene at the bar.

I go to Satuit Tavern fairly regularly. Great food and service. The seafood is always excellent whether broiled or fried. The calzone and salad combo is a real bargain, I love the Greek salad. Also love the Greek salad with grilled shrimp. Prices are reasonable. Portions are fairly generous. Each week they have a different interesting bread pudding on the menu.(eg. banana pecan bread pudding with butter rum sauce) but I usually am too full to order desert.
Only criticism, around 8PM each evening they dim the lights for some reason and it gets a bit dark
