Jamie's was an institution in Scituate for many years, offering great food in a pub atmosphere. Both the food and service have gone totally downhill. It's a shame to see such an institution completely ruined, but I'd guess there's no hope.
Service - the sign on the door said "Enthusiastic waitstaff wanted". That's for sure. The waitresses were panicking all around us, food was being sent back, and diners were complaining that they didn't get their orders. It was chaos. I know of one local who asked the waitresses what they planned on doing when the new enthusiastic waitresses showed up. They apparently were none too impressed.
The food was awful - everything, including the seafood, was frozen (yes I'm a local so I know frozen seafood when I taste it!). It was served half warmed up, and was entirely tasteless. I'd guess everything is frozen and re-heated since I don't know how you can make everything tasteless - including scallops, chicken marsala, fries, fried cauliflour, and bernaise sauce.
This restaurant has recently changed management, and it shows. I'd stay away.
