Description: Riva Restaurant is Italian/New American restaurant located in downtown scenic Scituate Harbor. Our dining is romantic & charming while our separate bar area is like a rustic beach bar. Enjoy our outdoor patio with live music all summer long!! Riva uses only fresh ingredients and offers excellent dinner specials 7 nights a week.

This is my husbands favorite spot. We went again over the Labor Day weekend with a couple who had never been to Riva in Scituate Harbor, MA before. They also loved it. The service was good, the food outstanding. We usually get the grilled chicken with broccoli and penne dish it's as good as the North End but this time we tried some different dishes. At the table we had the Suppli, rice ball appertizer - Wonderful a favorite of my daughters after visting Rome, for entrees the crabmeat stuffed Cod, the Pork Osso Bucco, chicken milanese and short ribs over fettuccine - and for dessert the bread pudding with chocolate and raspberries was to die for and the creme brulee outstanding. The food here is wonderful and worth the drive. It is small so make a reservation, you can wait in the small but energetic bar behind the restaurant, they have terrific specialty drinks.

As a local,I have avoided eating here since it opened. The tables are too close together for my comfort. In the summer they open up their outdoor seating area, which is an alleyway between the restaurant and the next building. No views other than the car and foot traffic on Front St. I cannot imagine why anyone woukd enjoy that.

Met some friends at Riva for dinner and drinks. They are both from Scituate and have been there many times and recommended it as our meeting place. We arrived at 7pm on a nice Friday evening in May expecting a wait. To our surprise, there was a lovely table outside on the patio just waiting for us. We started with a nice bottle of Prosecco; shared by all four. Dinner was VERY good; my boyfriend is a big fan of salmon and he recommends the Pan seared all natural salmon with potato crust and lemon chive butter dish. I had the vegetable lasagna which was chock full of fresh veggies; didn't even miss the meat. We had a great bottle of Sangiovese between the four of us, that went well with all meals. For dessert (our favorite part), we had a creme brulee that was simply perfect. We were also very impressed with the value of the food and service (spectacular service; everyone is very pleasant!) I highly recommend this as an "end to the week/reconnect with friends" place. We look forward to going back soon!

A small place that does great northern Italian food. Have NEVER had a bad meal there. Family have been going there since 2003. They have seasonal menue changes, a good wine selection and staff is knowledgeable and not intrusive. Is located on main street of the village, a couple of stones throw (unless you're Tom Brady) from the harbor, Parking is never a problem.
