“Decent place”
Reviewed September 26, 2011

Stayed here recently for business as it is the only hotel in town. It was decent enough. The room was large and the internet was FREE!!! They had a small continental breakfast which was decent for a light breakfast. But......I decided to leave a day early and they still charged me for the 2nd night. This is within their rights, but I think they could have waived the 2nd night in order to gain a satisfied customer. Anyways.....decent hotel, but a little over priced.

My thanks for a great overall stay! Most appreciated the fact that the owners didn't increase prices because folks were in such despair. Greed is not a part of this fine motel.
I loved the location so close to harbor and shops. The sunrise was breathtaking after the hurricane!
The staff was warm and helpful - all and all - wonderful.

I stayed one night, for business, and found the Inn to be very pleasant. Clean, even with the pool and the ocean across the street no musty moldy smell that sometimes takes over. Funky arrangement if rooms, all seemingly excellent views. I didn't try the food, I think it's not offered every day. Continental was a bit limited, but fresh and with decent coffee. Rooms were clean and homey, very b&b feel to the place, nice parlor, and very welcoming. Staff seemed a bit off, little things like taking calls while helping a guest at the counter, seemingly random ready-times for rooms: not terrible, but disconcerting, like you didn't quite have their attention. No harm, part of the charm if you aren't too uptight about a casual vibe. If you want fawning service, it's not here. Great place!

The staff provided towels, chairs and a parking pass for the beach even on the day we checked out since we had a very late flight. The suite was clean and had plenty of space. We might have preferred healthier breakfast options. The location was terrific. You could walk almost anywhere. I would stay there again.

I can't believe the improvements the new ownership has made on this once-tired gem. This is no convention Hilton-- it's a small inn that's not part of a chain and is an authentic part of the community. Nearby is incredible shopping, restaurants and seaside strolls. There isn't any room service, but I think it makes much more sense to try the local restaurants and hang out with the locals.
We have put guests up here many times and it just keeps getting better.
PS-- this is a great inn and great town for a quick weekend getaway from Boston-- you can take the commuter rail to Greenbush and they pick you up!

My wife and I visited here recently just on a whim and had a great experience. The rooms were clean and comfortable, great service and had a fun time in the pub. My wife enjoyed the short walk into town and the other restaurants and bars nearby. Definetely worth the drive for a night or weekend!
