“Wonderful B&B”

If you're looking for the perfect B&B experience in
Cape Cod, this is it. We stayed at the Isaiah Jones
for an extended weekend in celebration of our first
wedding anniversary. Our room was spacious and
nicely decorated. It was located in the carriage
house and had a jacuzzi, sitting room and a gas
fireplace. The best part had to be the breakfast.
The table was set with such care down to the crystal
knife holder and cup holders, lace tablecloths, and
fancy napkin rings. The food was incredible - 3
courses with homemade scones, fresh fruit and pancakes
or an omelet. The owners, Donny and Katherine, were incredibly helpful and pleasant - consummate hosts.

The town of Sandwich is a real gem.
We liked it better than Martha's Vineyard and hope it
stays Cape Cod's best kept secret. Overall, we would
recommend this place to everyone.

I had never been to a bed and breakfast, but what a way to start. I think that this place has ruined B&Bs for me, because I cannot imagine anything better. I contacted the owners of Isaiah Jones, who were very accommodating and responsive. We were looking for a room with a Jacuzzi and fireplace and, being foodies, the breakfast had to be something little more than continental. Once we heard about the suite and the 3 course breakfast, we were sold.

The real thing did not dissapoint.

The Inn, itself, is located in a residential, quiet area. But still close to necessities like restaurants, antique shops and the beach.

The suite was spacious and, being in the Carriage House, removed from the main house which afforded the privacy we were looking for for our getaway. There was a refrigerator for our dinner and champagne, a coffee machine and snacks available. There was also some sherry available in the main house. The inn keepers put on an amazing breakfast on New Years Day, with home made muffins, fresh made yogurt parfait and feta omelet.

When there are so many choices on the Cape, this is great for its size, food and location.

Tell Donny and Katherine Helena says hello.

We were looking for a Christmas getaway and this was fantastic. Donnie and Katherine are the consumate hosts. They make you feel welcomed, pampered, and at ease. They have a great realtionship with other businesses and thus when they make your reservations for dinner etc. you once again feel special. The attention to detail was amazing. I don't want to spoil the suprise but you have to go see for yourself. Their accomodations are wonderful. Starting with the robes and slippers, the huge tub with soothing jets, the historical pictures and ambiance offered by a historic cape cod facility. My wife has a considerable number of food allergies and they were able to work around it without compromising the food or oferings one bit. Katherine is an amazing cook. They would ask each day if there was anyhing in the next days offering that might present a problem. The house was decorated for Christmas and we felt very comfortable sitting in the living room having coffeee and tea in the afternoon. (and homemade Biscotti) while we read the paper. They have two great dogs.. Cherie and Katie who you will probably only meet if you ask. The dogs are very friendly and enthusiastic. Don't plan an early lunch becasue you will still be full from breakfast. If you're not sure how to fill your day, just engage them in conservation and ask for directions, ideas etc. In the evening you can sit and relax with complimentary sherry or port, borrow a book from the book shelfs or borrow a video from the dvd selections. Your room has a dvd player. One final note, on Christmas morning when we came down for breakfast there were presents on our table. Again the attention to detail. I encourage you to enjoy the total experience that is offered by Donnie and Katherine at the Isaiah Jones Homestead.

My mom, aunt and I go away every year to the Cape. This year our destination was Sandwich. We had checked out the Isaiah Jones Homestead last year and decided that this is where we wanted to stay. The innkeepers,Donny and Kathryn couldn't be more accomodating. First of all, the rooms are beautifully decorated, clean and with updated plumbing. They offer complimentary coffee and tea, water and soft drinks and port and sherry 24 hours a day. They also serve a 3 course gourmet breakfast which was always different but always delicious. They have every detail covered, right down to reading glasses to look through their books and local menus. We thoroughly enjoyed their company-so much so, that we spent the latter part of an afternoon chatting with them on the back deck. Next time we are in Sandwich, we will definetly stay here.

My boyfriend and I stayed here over Labor Day weekend and had a wonderful expierence. The decor is very charming with a beautiful common and dining area. The bed rooms are very cozy with a large jet bath tub, extremely comfortable beds and a small gas fire place which adds the perfect touch to the ambiance. Donnie and his wife Katheryn are more than accomidating. They make you feel right at home and are always asking what more they can do to make your stay more enjoyable. They are a wonderful couple with very interesting stories to share, so definitly take some time to sit down and chat over an afternoon cocktail like we did. They also pay extreme attention to detail such as bath robes for each guest. We seriously could not think of one thing that was missing. The location is great and in walking distance to the beach. Donnie and Katheryn can also recomend excellent dining options as well as daily activites if you are not framiliar with the area. We highly recommend this upscale B&B and will be sure to return next summer. Thanks again for a wonderful weekend!

My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful stay at the Isaiah Jones Homestead over the week of July 4th. I cannot imagine a more satisfying lodging experience.

The Homestead is located right in the heart of Sandwich, allowing for easy walks or quick drives to all the local landmarks, including a glass works and a gorgeous stretch of beachfront not five minutes away. Our room, the Thomas Dexter Bedroom, was elegantly appointed with a single queen-sized bed that we found very comfortable. Our private bath was also quite large. Guests have full use of the spacious living/gathering rooms, where we enjoyed speaking with two couples visiting from overseas. The Homestead happens to sit immediately upon the path of Sandwich’s Independence Day parade, so we enjoyed the show from the front porch. For anyone who happens to attend the parade, the kids in the on the floats demonstrate a distinct pleasure in spraying bystanders with long-range water squirters - all in good patriotic fun!

The personal touches added by Donnie and Kathryn, our hosts, made all the difference. The breakfast offerings every morning were fresh and imaginative. Crabcakes benedict, salmon and pea crepes, homemade maple scones – all delicious. Being relatively unfamiliar with the Cape, Donnie offered suggestions for evening dining and made reservations for us that corresponded to our plans for the day. So many little elements combined to make our visit memorable: the table settings at breakfast, the fish pond in the backyard, sherry in the evenings. All our needs were attended to with great care.

In all, our experience surpassed our expectations on every level, and we hope to visit again.

We stayed here in June 2006. It was the first time we stayed at a B&B and we had such a nice experience that we stay at B&B's whenever we possibly can! The innkeepers were very knowledgeable and were easy to find when we needed anything but on the other hand they were not intrusive and we felt very comfortable sitting in the common areas. They offer hot tea, instant coffee and small snacks all day as well as they have sherry in the livingroom which was a nice treat before bed and they had wonderful breakfasts every day. The room was nicely decorated. We stayed in The Dr. Jonathan Leonard Room, the front bedroom on the first floor. The only downfall of the room was the bathroom. There was a room with the shower and it was very tiny as well as the shower stall was very tiny, you couldn't wash your hair without hitting your elbows on the walls, I was always afraid of waking the couple in the adjoining room, and there was a room with the sink and toilet which was a little bigger, but still too small. Neither room had enough hooks or shelfs to put your clothes and toiletries on. But, we really enjoyed our stay and would stay again if the opportunity arises. THANKS for your hospitality!!!
