“Veteran's day weekend 2012”
Reviewed November 14, 2012

We stayed at the Isaiah Jones Homestead over Veteran's day weekend. Everything was excellent. Don & Katherine went over and above to make certain everything was to each guests' liking. Breakfast turned out so good all 3 days that we never went anywhere else to eat on those mornings. It is a 3 course breakfast with something different all 3 days. Don also offers a combination orange and cranberry juice that is excellent. Word is spreading about it all around Sandwich! The inn is loaded with wonderful antiques in every room. The wireless internet worked great also. We had the Thomas Dexter room and the bathroom is big and roomy and the bed was very comfortable. The rooms are spotless!!

We recently took a short vacation to Sandwich, Massachusetts, to stay at the Isaiah Jones Homestead and to take advantage of their Julia Child weekend event. It was a marvelous way to spend a beautiful autumn weekend! When we arrived late on Friday evening, a wine and cheese tasting was provided, which was so good there was no need for dinner. The next morning, we came downstairs to a fabulous gourmet breakfast. That evening we returned for a meal comprised of all Julia Child recipes, and both the dinner (which was excellent) and the company were memorable. Then, another great breakfast the following day. The Innkeepers were gracious, fun, and entertaining. We left for home feeling relaxed, happy, and very well fed. We plan on returning!

Room Tip: Talk to the Innkeepers about what kind of experience you are looking for - they were quite helpful o...

We really enjoyed out stay at Isaiah Jones. Donny was such a good and helpful host and Catherine's cooking was really great . She came up with some lovely breakfasts. We were also recommended to two very nice restaurants. They couldn't have been more kind, helpful and welcoming. We would definitely recommend any one to stay here and if we're this way again we'll be back!

A real "home from home" with lots of extras. This delightful establishment ticks all of the boxes. The Inn keepers Donnie and Katherine have created a warm and friendly atmosphere into which their visitors feel part of a family. Katherine's food is "M Star" class and is the perfect start to any day. The range of food and quality is not to be missed. Add to this comfortable and well equiped rooms and you are looking at a superb package.
Donnie plays his part by not only being the ideal host but provides in addition the best possible insight into the eating establisments within the area - trust his judgement.
It is also the thoughtful extras - the coffee availability, the cookies, the Sherry and Port, the high quality bath room supplies, the computer access and so many little touches that give the Inn a clear edge on other such establishments. I am not surprised that they are judged to be the Number 1 in the area - they would be hard to beat.
My only complaint is that we should have stayed for more than the four nights!!

We spent 2 nights at Isaiah Jones and it was perfect. A beautiful, clean, quiet room, walking distance to all the attractions in Sandwich, friendly, accommodating innkeepers, and a exceptionally delicious breakfast freshly prepared for each guest. It will be my 1st choice whenever I'm back on the Cape.

Room Tip: We booked the Captain WIlliam Weeks room in the Carriage House because it is the only room with a k...

My wife and I stayed here over labor day weekend and we had a wonderful time. The Victorian style house had a good deal of old world charm and all the modern conveniences we depend on- wifi, tv, climate control, etc. Very quiet as well so we didn't hear anyone else in the other rooms. Donnie, the owner was very warm, inviting, and has a great sense of humor as well as some serious culinary chops along with his wife. I still miss the breakfasts- french toast with Vermont maple syrup, fresh berries, and be sure to ask about Donnie's signature beverage. The B+B is centrally located on Main St near the glassmaking museum which was amazing to watch the glassblowing demonstration. There are also a few bars, cottages, and a few farms selling fresh produce.

Our family trip to Cape Cod took a delightful turn when we arrived at the Isaish Jones Homestead Bed & Breakfast! Donnie & Katherine welcomed us with warm hearts and treated us with hospitality for our entire stay! They were helpful and a great source of information. The Victorian house was historic, interesting and full of charm. Our room, above the Carriage House, was immaculate, cozy and cleverly furnished. Morning Breakfast: One word, SUPERB!!! The three course breakfast was unique, delicious and the whole family enjoyed it. We definitely will visit the Isaiah Jones Homestead Bed & Breakfast AGAIN!!!!

Room Tip: For families, choose the rooms in the Carriage House
