“Perfect weekend getaway”

My wife and I stayed here over labor day weekend and we had a wonderful time. The Victorian style house had a good deal of old world charm and all the modern conveniences we depend on- wifi, tv, climate control, etc. Very quiet as well so we didn't hear anyone else in the other rooms. Donnie, the owner was very warm, inviting, and has a great sense of humor as well as some serious culinary chops along with his wife. I still miss the breakfasts- french toast with Vermont maple syrup, fresh berries, and be sure to ask about Donnie's signature beverage. The B+B is centrally located on Main St near the glassmaking museum which was amazing to watch the glassblowing demonstration. There are also a few bars, cottages, and a few farms selling fresh produce.

Our family trip to Cape Cod took a delightful turn when we arrived at the Isaish Jones Homestead Bed & Breakfast! Donnie & Katherine welcomed us with warm hearts and treated us with hospitality for our entire stay! They were helpful and a great source of information. The Victorian house was historic, interesting and full of charm. Our room, above the Carriage House, was immaculate, cozy and cleverly furnished. Morning Breakfast: One word, SUPERB!!! The three course breakfast was unique, delicious and the whole family enjoyed it. We definitely will visit the Isaiah Jones Homestead Bed & Breakfast AGAIN!!!!

Room Tip: For families, choose the rooms in the Carriage House

My wife and I day frequent weekend getaways to recharge from the working and raising our 5 year old daughter. We rarely have the opportunity to sleep past 6:00 am between school, work, and weekend activities. When we take a getaway, we want rest and relaxation.

This is exactly what we received at the Isaiah Jones Homestead. Our hosts Donny and Katie made us feel welcome from the start with the grand tour and welcoming sherry and port wine. The rooms are medium size and well appointed with inviting sitting chairs and a firm comfortable bed. Our bath had a large spa tub, waffle robes, and a basket of soaps, shampoos, and lotions. The room also had a TV/DVD player to take advantage of Donny and Katie's collection of classic and recent movies.

Besides the sitting rooms, and living areas, the Inn provides a large green back yard with chairs, tables, and a restful peace and quiet. The best part of the stay, however is Donny and Katie's scrumptious breakfast. The meal always starts off with fresh home made scones or muffins, works its way through grilled fruit with a sweet glaze, and ends with the tastiest omelette or most airy pancakes. No disappointments at this Inn.

If you are looking for a clubby place to stay with SPA treatments, lots of people, and a bustling atmosphere then pick one of the other hotel like inns nearby. If you want a quiet relaxing getaway, Donny and Katie will make you feel welcome and relaxed.

Room Tip: The second floor has the quietest rooms. The choices are big room and small bath or smaller room wit...

Our two night stay at this Cape Cod (Sandwich, MA) was pure pleasure. This historic inn is wonderfully furnished with antiques including old photos of the area and has an interesting history. The location in the charming town of Sandwich is in easy walking distance of historic sites and great restaurants as well as a local beach for which the inn provides beach chairs. Donnie and Katherine, the owners and hosts are true innkeepers in the finest sense of the word. Your slightest wishes are graciously cared for whether they be local information or restraurant or travel reservations. They are both entertaining and a joy to talk with. The breakfast are so great that you will ask for the recipe's. A final example of how great this inn is in small details is that there is a wonderful decanter of port on the living room table awaiting you as you return from your evening meal. DON'T MISS THIS PLACE.

Our three day stay at Isiaha Jones could not have been better. Inn keepers Donnie and Katherine were so welcoming, providing hints on places to visit, places to eat (and not just in Sandwich), and routes to take to see Cape Cod. But the best part of the stay was the 3 course breakfast - a freshly baked scone or muffin to start, a fruit course, and finally a strata or pancakes or other delight. Hearty enough to consider skipping lunch.
The room was nicely furnished and comfortable.
Sandwich was a delightful little town to explore, and is located to easily explore Cape Cod as well as getting back to the Boston airport with minimal traffic delays.

If you do a trip to Cape Cod go to Sandwich and stay at this place for a few days. The owners are really loving what they do and you immediately feel that as their guest. They make you feel at home immediately. The house from mid 19th century is in great shape and the rooms are perfectlyfurnished and everything is in great shape.Don't miss it....

Visiting this Victorian B&B was like taking a step back in time. Innkeepers Donnie and Katherine Sanderson tend this grand old home with genuine old world charm. We stayed in the Thomas Dexter Room and appreciated the authentic decor. The bed was beautiful but a little too high and over stuffed with pillows for our taste. However, the room was well maintained and quiet at night. I particularly liked the wide variety of toiletries including bath grains and lip balm. Another thoughtful touch were the pre-stamped postcards for messages home. Breakfast was the real highlight served either outside or in a coffered ceiling dining room that glowed with morning sunlight. We chose a deck table and were impressed with the wonderfully inviting table settings featuring hand painted china, crystal glasses and cloth napkins. Donnie's signature libation of fresh squeezed orange and cranberry juice was wonderful. Our memorable breakfast included homemade blueberry buttermilk coffee cake, tri melon and mint fruit cup and roasted red pepper/artichoke strata. If you're looking to relax and go back to a more gentile place and time, you can't miss at this Homestead.
