Just returned home from a 2 night stay at the Isaiah Jones B&B. What a wonderfully charming inn, in the equally charming village of Sandwich, MA! Not only was our room beyond expectations but the ambiance of the entire inn was perfect...so comfortable and welcoming. The innkeepers Don and Katherine were very helpful and accommodating in their suggestions of what to see and where to dine. Our breakfasts prepared by Katherine, and served so nicely by Don, were out of this world...by far the best meal of the day! Without question we will return someday to the Isaiah Jones B&B.

Room Tip: Although the Beale Rm. was a bit small, it was beautifully furnished and quite comfortable.

Let me start by saying that I initially booked a different B&B on a different part of Cape Cod, but upon getting there, I was so disappointed by the accommodations that we could not stay. Being 4th of July weekend, a lot of B&Bs on the Cape were totally booked. I was lucky enough to stumble upon the Isaiah Jones Homestead online, called, and there was vacancy! I asked if I could come to look at the room first (since I was so scarred by the first place we had gone to), and Donnie and Katherine were gracious enough to let us come look at the room. We took it on the spot, and so began an amazing three days at what has to be the nicest inn on the Cape.

We had the Captain Weeks room in the Carriage House, a beautiful mini-suite with a king-sized bed and a jacuzzi bathtub in the bathroom, along with a stall shower. The room also had a gas fireplace, your own controls for central air, a ceiling fan, waffle-knit robes, scented salts for your bath, wifi, and skylights. No detail has been overlooked at this B&B. The Inn even has its own LIP BALM for you in the bathroom and amazing rose-scented bath products.

There are only two rooms in the Carriage House, and we were fortunate that we were the only ones staying in the Carriage House, which was great to have the whole place to ourselves. Just outside our room was a mini common area for the Carriage House guests, complete with a Keurig and Starbucks K-cups, wine glasses, mugs, and a mini fridge stocked with water and creamer. At the main house there is an always-full cookie jar and mini pretzels if you are looking for a little mid-day snack, along with sherry in the parlor for a nightcap!

Breakfast every morning is in the main house, which is absolutely gorgeous. Each table is set with beautiful lace tablecloths, adorable napkin rings, little containers of soft butter, and even crystal knife rests. Like I said, every detail has been taken care of here. The breakfasts cooked by Katherine and served by Donnie are AMAZING. Three courses starting out with a pastry, followed by a fruit dish, and finished with either French toast, eggs, or the BEST pancakes I've ever had (Katherine was wonderful and give me her recipe, which I cannot wait to try out). Needless to say, we were completely full after every breakfast.

The Inn is centrally located in Sandwich, which is the quintessential Cape Cod town. I don't know of a cuter area to stay in on the Cape. It is absolutely adorable, with shops and restaurants within walking distance. A very nice beach is about a mile or so away, as well as the Cape Cod Canal, a fantastic bike trail, and a miniature golf course. The Inn even has beach towels and beach chairs that you can use.

The atmosphere, the attentiveness of the innkeepers, the beauty of the Inn and our wonderful room - all contributed to an absolutely perfect vacation. We can't wait to go back!!

Room Tip: Try to get a room in the Carriage House! Gorgeous!

I am a sixty-year-old woman and stayed at this bed and breakfast during a five-day Cape Cod vacation with a girlfriend. The Sandersons made our stay a real pleasure. They were knowledgeable about attractions on the Cape and eager to help us plan our activities. However, the best part of our stay was the breakfasts! Katherine is a superb cook, producing home-made fruit scones or muffins every day. My favorite breakfast was the blueberry pancakes, with sweet and juicy blueberries inside a delicate batter. Our room, the Dr. Lombard Jones, was spacious and comfortable. The location couldn't be better, just steps away from the center of town.

Room Tip: The Dr. Lombard Jones room was spacious, comfortable and had good natural light.

Donnie and Katherine truly have a gem here in Sandwich. The room we stayed in was magnificent and came with all we needed. We were greeted in the evening when we checked in, had complimentary Port & Sherry, received a tour to the kitchen, parlor, and more and were told to just make ourselves at home. The real treat were the breakfasts (sadly, we were running late for a MV ferry one morning and forgot to tell Donnie & Katherine we wouldn't be making it for breakfast - again our sincerest apologies for that if you're reading this guys!). Anyways, the breakfasts were the highlights of our stay and with great coffee and the Donnie combo (half Cranberry/half Orange juice), it was just delicious. My wife still keeps raving about her cranberry scone. Also, since she is diabetic, they made sure to keep that in mind. It truly was a great stay and we can now think of nowhere else we would want to stay - it was just that good. So go ahead and book with them for your next vacation - you're bound to be amazed by the friendliness, cleanliness, and all around down to earth hospitality that you deserve!

We first came to this B&B in July 2007 and thoroughly enjoyed it. The breakfast was delicious and the atmosphere lovely. However, we had only stayed one night. We came back in June 2012 and decided to really discover Cape Cod while relaxing at Isaiah Jones. We booked a special honeymoon package for 4 nights and we were not disappointed at all.
This Bed & Breakfast has everything one desires to leave the worries at home and just enjoy oneself:

- Great hosts. Katherine and Donnie are lovely. Full of helpful advice without being overbearing. They’re friendly and welcoming.
- Great location. You can walk to the boardwalk of Sandwich from the B&B. You can also walk to many restaurants and simply discover this small city full of charm. From Sandwich itself, you can experience Cape Cod or take day trips to other cities not on the Cape.
- Great breakfasts: The food was simply delicious. The variety was also great and we were never disappointed. The service, the atmosphere and the details were amazing. Each day our table set was different and always beautiful. We strongly advise Katherine to write a cookbook with her recipes.
- Great service: The housekeeper was also very friendly and the little touch inside the room were simply great.
- Great bedrooms: We stayed in the Carriage House, we had everything: privacy, romantic setting, and comfortable rooms. Again the details here are everything with the fire place, a rocking chair for example.
- Great B&B! The house itself is also interesting both its history, the way it is decorated, the portrait of Isaiah hanging in a room…

We will definitely be back!

Little tips:

- You definitely should enjoy a little glass of sherry while choosing a DVD to watch in your room (they have their own small DVD collection as well as a small collection of books). Donnie has some great restaurants’ recommendations, you can just tell him what type of atmosphere you’re looking for and he knows a place :D

- Katherine shares her recipes (did I mention how good her food is?) Don’t hesitate to ask!

Room Tip: The carriage house rooms give you more privacy but all rooms are lovely (this was our second visit a...

What a wonderful 4 days we had staying with Katherine and Donny in their beautiful homestead. It was all we had hoped it would be and a lot more. They certainly went that extra mile to ensure we had a great time - recommending places to see ,things to do and making reservations for us for dinner at local eateries. Our room was beautiful and full of character. Katherine's gourmet breakfasts - what a treat, served by Donny in the lovely dining room. Sandwich is a lovely place to stay. Very well situated for travelling around Cape Code aswell as having interesting places to visit in the place itself.
