We stopped on the way in for teatime/lunch. Delicious Lobster bisque. We also chose afternoon tea with 3 sandwiches and 3 dessert bars. it isn't a fancy tea (not on tiered plates) but lovely all the same. All well-priced with lots of fun desserts for the kids. Service was very friendly. The pies looked delicious, I wanted to bring one home.

Across the street was a gift shop/antique/thrift shop where you can buy handmade dolls' clothing to fit an American Girl type, all sorts of knickknacks, old books, dishes, embroidery. The museums are over a mile away.

I was drawn to this place because of its history as a Puritan meeting house. It's lovely inside and I had the chance to talk to the owner, Beth, a charming lady. I had quiche and salad for lunch which was home made and very tasty. The lunch was well priced and we sat outside enjoying the atmosphere of this interesting town. An excellent stop when you visit the Cape.

I was worried from other reviews that Beth's had done away with tea-served-in-a-pot since they changed their name from Beth's Special Teas to Beth's Bakery & Cafe. But no. We enjoyed ourselves as much this time as we have in years past. On this cold rainy day we slept in too late to have breakfast out, but quiche hit the spot for both of us for lunch. Husband proclaimed his lemon square delicious as always, as was my scone. The pot of tea for two filled our cups at least 3 times each. The decor is quaint, not fancy. It wasn't very busy when we were there, and the service was very attentive. Hint: go before or after peak lunch time, and snag your table on your way in. There isn't a lot of seating, and the outdoor tables go fast on a warm, dry day.

Wonderful cannoli's, cookies, etc. We bought boxes of them to bring to friends. Do not miss stopping here.
