My wife and I had dinner here on Friday night. We had reservations at 7:00 and arrived about 10 minutes early but were seated right away. The staff was very attentive and the waitress took our drink orders immediately. While waiting for the drinks to come we were given a bread basket with 2 delicious and warm dinner rolls. We both ordered the short ribs and they were delicious. They were served with "hedgehog" mushrooms and spinach. I had never heard the term hedgehog mushrooms but they were delicious. I also ordered a side of potato puree and it also was delicious. While waiting for our meals to come the waitress refilled our bread basket with 2 more rolls.

The atmosphere in this bistro is unique. It is a former small catholic church converted into a very comfortable and endearing place. The bar is on a raised area which used to be the alter for the church. All in all it was a wonderful and charming experience and I would recommend this place very highly.

The Belfry's setting is a historic Catholic church tastefully remodeled to a fine dining restaurant. The Belfry is located in the center of the historic Sandwich village. Its charming, has excellent food and atmosphere. The owner and new chef have recently revisited the menu- offering creative dishes using local ingredients with finesse. With its roaring fireplace, accompanied with piano in the background, the Belfry is simply a lovely place.

In addition to dinner, the Belfry offers great wine tastings on Wednesday evenings and lunch where one can order al a carte or choose the tasting menu, consisting of a soup, salad, and sandwich. There is outdoor options for the summer. Enjoy!

We have frequented the Belfry Inn & Bistro dozens of times, it had always been one of our go to restaurants. We returned for the amazing cuisine, impeccable service and succulent, rich offerings from the kitchen. This last visit on Valentines day 2014 was shockingly disappointing. They had just recently acquired a new chef just days before, thus the unveiling of a new menu with some asian inspired dishes. The menu was cold, univinting and offered very few options. It was not up to par with what we have come to expect from the Bistro. The dishes were sparse, more artful than fulfilling. Understand, presentation is key and we do prefer small bites of amazing dishes, so we are not saying the portions were inadequate, it was just not satisfying and did not leave us wanting more of what we were served. We used to rave about the Bistro, now I think I may discourage people from going. Although in fairness, perhaps we give it another try and make a more informed decision at that time.

Lovely atmosphere paired with creative menu and good service. Rush there before everyone knows about it and tourists invade. Can't wait for them to begin serving lunch.

Tasty meat, but no vegetables or carbs on the side. Pricey meal and not satisfied. The service was ok.
