“School vacation getaway”
Reviewed April 26, 2014

While staying in sandwich for a couple of days we decided to get a little learning in for school vacation week. The hatchery was very neat. The kids loved feeding the fish and occasionally getting splashed by their feeding frenzy. Great way to spend 15-20 minutes while spending $2.00 in quarters for fish food.

“See how Fish Hatcheries work !”
Reviewed April 16, 2014

The hours are restrictive, but it is definitely worth the scheduling in your itinerary for the Cape. You will see all the different stages of fish hatchlings, eager to eat the pellets from the nearby stand. The freshest water from underground springs surrounds each of the ponds inside this Fish hatchery. See your tax dollars at work !!!

“It's a hatchery”
Reviewed January 24, 2014

it was a rainy day and we had nothing to do so we decided to check out the hatchery. It's a trout hatchery and once the fish reaches certain age, they release it into the wild. there was big fish, small fish, medium fish, and a few dead fish. It was fun for kids as they can feed them pellets. Not super exciting for adults. the walk around took about 30 min.

“Fun for everyone”
Reviewed October 16, 2013

Been going here for the past 40 years, every time I go to sandwich. Where else can you feed fish and see 5 to 10 pound fish for free. They have a machine to get food for the fish for a Quarter open 9 to 3 daily

“Take the kids!”
Reviewed August 6, 2013

A quick visit is nice for children! Can pay 25 cents for fish food and the kids delight in watching those fish jump. You can learn more about trout by reading the boards nearby.
