The museum had a glass blowing demonstration that was extremely informative. Before we began the trip through the extensive collection of Sandwich glass, we watched a movie about the history of the area. The collection was varied, and helped us understand the way in which glass was produced during the 19th century. An afternoon that was worthwhile.

My husband and I went here this weekend while staying in Sandwich. There was a video about the history of the town and glass, and a glass blowing demonstration. There is also a gift shop with both very expensive as well as lower cost items to buy. The building is filled with beautiful displays to walk around and see. We spent about an 1 1/2 looking around at all of the displays. It costs 8 dollars for an adult to visit and 2 dollars for children. The museum is located in the historic section of Sandwich and is easy to walk to if you are staying in the area.

I wasn't sure what to expect when we went to the Saandwich Glass Museum other than a lot of glass. There was a show about the history of Sandwich which was well done. After that there was a glass blowing demonstration which was quite interesting as we watch her make a vase from start to finish. We were there for about two hours. It was worth the trip.

My seven year old and eleven year old groaned when we pulled into the parking lot. After we saw the glass blowing live demo they loved it! They were picked as the volunteers to help. Then we spent an hour in the museum. The movie about Sandwich is average. But the glass blowing was cool!

The glass blowing demonstration was very educational. The exhibits were displayed. The gift shop provided high quality gifts , better than another T- shirt.
