We have been eating here for nearly 30 years and the food is always good. The fried clams and the scallops are particularly tasty. The daily specials are always interesting. As other people have noted, the portions are huge. They have a sign over the door which reads: "Come hungry" - they mean it! They serve the best onion rings in North America - don't miss out. The service is friendly and attentive. We will be back as often as we can.

The food here was pretty good, though could use a little seasoning. My husband had the veal parm and spaghetti and the portion was huge! Definitely enough for two to share! But we did not. I had the lasagna which was served with a side salad. Again, enough for two. I am not complaining, though. We just had our left overs wrapped up to go. Onion rings were crisp and the onion was sweet. Service was fast and friendly and the dining room was clean and comfortable. There were many groups with children and there is a nice lawn for the rambunctious to run off the energy before or after eating. Prices were reasonable.

If you're in Sandwich and want a place to go that's not sky high in price and actually tastes good, go here. We had the fish chowder soup and blue muscles which were amazing! They dont have crabcakes but they have good pot roast if anyone in your group doesnt eat seafood. Prices were between $15.99-$23.99 for dinner. Pretty good place all in all.

Stopped in a few weeks ago on a Sunday afternoon. My sister and I were seated right away but not acknowledged for quite a while, maybe 10 minutes. Waitress was friendly but very busy. Chowders arrived quickly and my clam chowder was delicious. My sister said her fish chowder was bland. Never got any bread and had a long wait for our meals. We had seafood and it was bland as were the onion rings and french fries. No flavor to anything.

Lively without being too loud, filled with locals but still welcoming to travelers, our dinner here was a welcome addition to our weekend in Sandwich. Starting salads were plain but fresh and fine with a good choice of dressings. Sourdough bread was served warm with butter. Both seafood mains were cooked just right and we could barely finish. The baked stuffed casserole was fresh and tasty throughout, not like so many where the shellfish is good but the fish filet tastes like filler. The broiled seafood platter was equally good.
Do not miss the sweet potato fries, perfectly seasoned and crisp. The side of house pasta was served with a very good bolognese.
The owner was paying close attention to the front of the house, and it's clear that this place is staffed for good service, which we certainly received.
We'll be back on our next visit to Cape Cod.
